Fantastic location in a beautiful village Good breakfast

There was quite a strong smell of fried food in our room Some areas need a little tlc ie worn stair carpet, shower grout a bit stained

Great bar with pool and darts and nice welcoming staff. It is quite suitable for walkers.

The room was fine but the decor and fixtures tired. There seemed to be a fetish for laminated signs of "dont's" which were unnecessary.

Location of the property was excellent, right in the centre of Reeth, parking available just outside on the village green at a small cost (suggested donation). Very old property with amazing character, small doorways and uneven floors but this brings so much charm to it. Staff were all so friendly and helpful throughout our stay, fantastic beer garden with plenty of seats, darts and pool tables available in the pub as well as plenty of board games you can use. Breakfast choices were excellent, cereal, toast, porridge, hot drinks, fruit juices and a menu with a good selection of cooked options. Room was a good size and over looked the village green with beautiful views of the surrounding area, bed was super comfy. Would definitely recommend.

Great location

Our room number 9 had a double and a single bed. Double was very comfortable but single very saggy even for a petite adult. Also, there was a noisy common room above our room that continued until about 9:30. Fish and chips had stale fish, not fresh. Mentioned this to server with no response. Breakfast was mediocre.
