The Lofts at Downtown Salem

Fantastic location and the facilities were awesome. Huge rooms with full kitchens. The sataff was fantastic and check in and out was effortmess.

Nothing --- its a fantastic hotel.

Room was very clean and well maintained. Having a keypad entry was a feature I enjoyed, since it eliminates the problem of lost keys. The staff was very nice and quick to handle the noisy neighbors next door. A bonus was the building itself and the history behind it, which is further stated when you walk in the building and see the showroom housing multiple Corvette Stingrays and other vehicles. A pleasant change from the usual hotel/efficiency apartment. The kitchen was fully equipped, as well.

A few downsides to mention...the structure itself was a car manufacturing facility and while the inside has remained intact, this has led to some areas where sound slips through and loud conversations or loud tv's can be heard easily. The only other thing I would mention, is an item that was lacking and I feel is extremely important if you were to stay long enough to bring your own food, have large luggage, or just struggle with lifting (or are unable to for any reason) There's no elevator. I stayed on the 2nd floor and it was very hard for me to carry my cooler and my luggage up the stairs. The staff was nice enough to help me bring it down, but still, it would have been nice to at least have a ramp.

Nice use of space. Walking distance to farmers market on Saturday along with a few restaurants and great wine bar and brewery

The walls are super thin I could people using their keypads I could hear someone alarm going off next door
