Located near the Columbia River (3 blocks) where you can find walking paths, playgrounds, tennis courts and a boat ramp. Our home sleeps 5 with 2 queen bedrooms, 1 twin Daybed and 1 bathroom. This great location is within walking distance to restaurants, shopping and Starbucks. This house has Central Heating and Air, Cable TV and WIFI. This was our second time staying here and it felt like home away from home! Very spacious yet cozy. Kitchen is very nice with labels on all the cupboards so you know exactly where things are!
The beds were comfortable and the rooms were very nice and clean! We rented both levels and it was so nice to have the extra oven for preparing our thanksgiving dinner!

Larger than I imagined. Very quiet. It's all as advertised. Our dog enjoyed the fenced yard. (I grew up in this neighborhood in a "Q" house. So many changes.Thanks for the trip down memory lane.)

We enjoyed our stay here. The place was better that I was anticipating. There is a large kitchen with plenty of counter space. We were in town for a four day event and had to bring our dog with us. The host does allow pets so it was perfect. There is a grocery store very close. Honestly, you could walk there if you wanted to. The host was very responsive and kind. I would definitely book this stay again.

Very cute little apartment. Beds were very comfortable. You can hear the renters upstairs but was prepared for it and it wasn’t that bothersome. Apartment had everything we needed. The temperature was great. We stayed in a very hot weekend and it was very comfortable. The outside space was very nice as well. We enjoyed the chickens through the fence each morning with our coffee. Would stay here again.

Loved the place. I did hear the upstairs neighbors walking around a lot . Need to update TV with a ROKU I went and bought one to use I guess now I have a Traveling ROKU device now

You’re in a finished basement with low ceilings. There is no control over the HVAC for the basement and thus you’re at the mercy of anyone renting upstairs, and pray no one is, because otherwise you will here their conversations, footsteps, snoring (not a joke), and whenever they flush their toilet it sounds like a waterfall in the basement. There are also no air ducts in at least one of the bedrooms which means you need to keep your door open should you want any airflow. I used VRBO because I thought it meant our own place, not to feel like children hanging out in their parents’ basement. Additionally, the property needs some proper maintenance. Lots of cracking plaster, old fixtures, and the inescapable reality of the fact you’re renting a basement. Very disappointed

Overall I was happy with the facility and location. I was in town for the Washington 4A Girls Fastpitch State Softball Tournament.
It would have been nice if the patio area weedy grasses had been cleaned up before I arrived so I could have enjoyed the area. And the cleaning crew needs to check the oven as part of their routine … there were a couple of pieces of pizza left in it from a previous renter. Not complaining just suggesting.
And you might want to consider a light blocking curtain for the bedroom with the east facing window … it’s pretty bright at 5:00 a.m. even with the blinds closed.
Other than that I loved the place!

The property was great and perfect for what we needed. Only issue we had was upon arrival it hadn't been cleaned and got missed. Contacted host and they were more than willing to come out with 2 cleaners while we went to dinner. Also property should state this was the lower level basement as we tried to enter the main level where someone else was staying.

This property was advertised as an entire apartment. It’s not. It’s a finished basement with very low (7-1/2 feet) ceilings, very dark and dreary, in need of serious maintenance and upgrades.
The most serious problem is that the unit doesn’t have its own heating and A/C. Instead, there’s a single heating-A/C unit for both floors, but installed in the upper level and only controllable from the upper apartment. When it’s cold, the lower apartment doesn’t get enough heat and is uncomfortably cold. When it’s warm, enough A/C for the upper level is too much for the lower apartment.
Second problem is there’s no sound insulation between the upper and lower units, so the lower one is really noisy.
Third, the ice maker isn’t connected, and the coffee maker leaks.
And finally, the hosts insist that you start to wash towels and take out garbage before you leave, as well as other tasks which really shouldn’t be the guests’ responsibility.

My family stayed here and we had an absolutely wonderful time! For the price you can't beat it. The house is way bigger in person and so comfy and cozy. The neighborhood is cute and we spent a night walking around and checking out the river. We didn't have people above us for most of the trip but when we did we heard them a few times. The keurig was great and the other amenities were awesome. My only wish was that the windows had screens so you could open the windows and not worry about bugs coming in. We felt totally at home here and can't wait to come back!

The property was exactly as listed with all the amenities you’d hope for when traveling. The only downside is you could hear everything upstairs but if you are looking for a clean and convenient location with room for a family of 5 then this is perfect.

This property is very private and comes with everything you would need. There is a large living room and kitchen, bedrooms and closets are great. The ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars was that we were bothered by dogs barking upstairs.
I did not complain to or notify the owner because the place was otherwise fantastic…..so that’s on me.

Very clever design of a basement bungalow. Clean with all the amenities. The stay was comfortable, but we didn’t consider the fact that it was the bottom floor and as such all the noise from above could be heard. Unfortunate guests above us had several dogs that we could hear traversing as well as barking when the tenants above left them unattended. Not really the owners fault just something to remember that you are downstairs. Otherwise, great area to be!

Amazing
I went into staying here with low expectations since it is a basement apartment setup and I figured it would "just do" for my family for the days we were staying there.
I was wrong.....
This apartment blew me away with everything it offered and my wife and I were very impressed. Barely even knew people were upstairs at times. We will stay here again every time we are in Richland!

The house was bigger than expected! Very clean and organized. On our last night it was a bit loud upstairs but I guess that’s what you get from an older house. Overall we had a good stay!

Was not close to the river.There was no heat in the bottom. we had to use a portable heater, which was provided. Was noisy when people were upstairs.

Susan's property is well located being one block away from Safeway, George Washington Way and a few blocks from the river. The first night they had a get together but they were considerate and didn't keep me awake. So appreciative of their thoughtfulness! My other two nights were silent upstairs. The property was very nice. The floor plan was much bigger than expected from the pictures. There was plenty of room for my family of five. The upstairs guests were not there much of our stay but when they were it was pretty loud. You could tell they had a dog and the hard wood floors echoed through to our space. It was a little odd that there was no access to the thermostat from the lower level so the temperature of the space was dependent on the people upstairs but there were extra space heaters in case we needed them. It was very cold outside while we were there but the inside stayed warm enough for our liking.

This place had a lot going for it - comfortable beds, nice size, & a great location - all at an affordable price. This is a solid option for your stay.
Be apprised that you are in the basement of a house and the upstairs is a vacation rental as well. If overhead noise bothers you, keep looking. The couch in the living room needs a cushion refresh.
