Located in East Lyme, this lovely house for $625 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. 150' direct waterfront on the Niantic River, located in Saunders Point. Niantic is mid-way between New York and Boston. Panoramic views with private beach, access to deep water dock and private swimming pool. Enjoy beach, boating, fishing and swimming at your doorstep. Bring your own personal water craft to enjoy the river or rent at the marina, walking distance away. Three floors, with main floor en suite master, two bedrooms and office with futon and full bath on second floor along with finished basement bedroom and lounge area. Sleeps 8-10 privately, 10 total. Open floor plan living room, dining room and kitchen. Half bath on main floor. Large patio area and deck surround the pool. Large side yard. Enjoy your morning coffee as you watch the sunrise. Dine alfresco in the evening and watch the moon rise over the river. Yard games, books and board games for the whole family. Within 2 miles of downtown Niantic - with shops, restaurants and the Niantic Bay Boardwalk. Close to two local casinos, Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, Block Island Ferry, Clinton and Westbrook Outlets, Essex Steam Train, Goodspeed Opera House, Ivoryton Play House, RiverQuest Cruises and so much more. This house exceeded our expectations. We wanted a multi-bedroom house on the water for our weekend with our daughter at the Coast Guard Academy. It was both secluded and convenient to the Academy, combining a cottage feel and modern amenities. The panoramic view of the river/bay was spectacular. While it rained for two of the three full days we were there, we did get to enjoy the deck over the boat house on the last day. Truly a memorable experience, and a great way to enjoy New England.

Our family has been visiting this beautiful retreat for the last three years, and every year we love it more. Barb is a wonderful host, attending to our every need and even anticipating needs with thoughtful additions to the amenities each year. This is no zombie rental that was clearly set up with short-term rentals in mind (you know the ones ... bare minimum supplies and furniture from a big box store). This is a family home, with everything a family would want for a getaway. Pool toys? Check. Lawn games? Check. Loads of linens? Check. Board games? Yep. Cookout supplies? You bet. Bedside device chargers, Alexas, outdoor speakers? Okay, you get the idea. And the location can't be beat. This has come to feel like our second home, and we can't wait to go back!

One of our best vacation spots ever! Beautiful view, amazing pool and five minutes to the ocean. Plenty of room and amenities. Stocked for everything you would need. Quiet neighborhood. Peaceful and relaxing. Wish we could have stayed longer! The family loved it and didnt want to leave.

The house is situated in a very scenic location. Large windows that span the width of the house afford you a lovely view of the Niantic river along with lively boating activity. Up close to the house you have a nice view of a huge inground pool with a well furnished patio surrounding it. Inside you will find all the amenities needed for comfort in each room. Comfortable couches and a big screen tv in the livingroom. Plenty of seating in the dining room and nice appliances in the kitchen. Lots of cooking utensils ,dishes, glassware and eating utensils. The bathrooms have plenty of towels and there are beach towels too. The beds are comfortable and the rooms have closets and dressers. Of course you will stay nice and cool with A/C through out the house. I can go on and on but you can read about all the amenities online. The house is lovely and roomy. This was my second stay at the river house with family and friends. Everyone wished that we could have stayed longer and everyone wants to come back!

Days on the river and in the great pool were an outstanding setting for our family of four teenagers and six adults. We brought a kayak which is easily stored on the beach next to the house. There is no deep mooring available for a larger boat so we had to rent a slip from a local marina for the week. The house had everything we needed; tons of bath and beach towels, fully stocked kitchen with many spices, comfortable gathering spaces and good air conditioning. Thank you for offering this wonderful vacation experience.

From arrival to departure, this was the best rental we have ever had. The views are spectacular. My kids loved the pool and I think they were wet 5-6 hours a day. It was so easy to kayak and paddle board from the beach. I was amazed at how well the kitchen was equiped. Check-in was so easy, all the beds were made for us (a godsend because we arrived late), more than enough towels. There were enough seats for a large family dinner or to watch a movie. My family can't wait to go back.

The property was great clean, homey, and well-maintained. Heck, I envied some of the kitchen equipment and useability -- which is a far cry from the usual summer rental.
The location perfect for our low-key crowd of adults (ranging in age from 25-65).

This was our 3rd stay at this beautiful home. It has everything you could need both inside and out. Plenty of seating, cooking utensils, and excellent outdoor activities right within walking distance. We enjoyed playing Bocci, tennis, disc golf, and lovely hikes at nearby trails. Bring your paddle boards and Kayaks as you can put them in the water next door. Highly recommended. Hope to be back again next year!

Everything was great except for the following:
Jets on upstairs tub very moldy; although we cleaned them used downstairs tub to bathe kids. Downstairs bathroom also had mold.
Outside all wooden railings and stairs in desperate need of upgrade. Luckily our son in law was not severely hurt when 2 steps of stairway going to the water let go.
Fireplace Has very strong odor; probably needs cleaning.

We really enjoyed our vacation. We came all the way from Washington State to visit my BFF who lives in Rhode Island. We really had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect and we were in the pool every day. Talk about a view! Wow!!! Breath-taking!! We would definitely go back. Until next time.

Another amazing vacation!
For myself and my family it is our favorite week of the year! We rented this house last year got it again for this year and also have it for next year! It is absolutely heaven! We are a big group. 8 1/2 people. And there’s so much space to relax read a book or have a champagne pool party! We just left and we all cannot wait till next year!

We were there to celebrate our granddaughter's graduation from the USCGA. Location is only 10-15 minutes from New London. Perfect! House was clean and well stocked. One caution to guests... checkout procedure is time consuming when trying to get an early start back Home. Beds must be stripped, sheets placed in bags, and carried to the laundry room. Blankets, towels and floor mats must also be taken to the laundry room. Of course, the fridge needs emptied. All trash cans must be emptied and taken out to the trash bins.

Such a relaxing spot!
We had a wonderful stay with our children and my parents over spring break. The views are incredible, the common space is perfect for visiting, and the ground floor master bedroom was perfect for my parents with limited mobility. We had our dog with us, and the property and area are perfect for pups - plenty of running space in the side yard and wonderful walks in the wooded areas nearby. The house is just over a mile from the boardwalk, which we also enjoyed. Barbara was available for any questions or needs, but we didn't have any since the house is well appointed and information about check-in/out and the house was provided and clear.
We hope to be back in pool season!!

The best stay ever!
Even though a hurricane with power outages and downed trees rolled through the day we were to check in, we still had an amazing trip! Barb was wonderful through the whole week. Giving us updates after the storm to see when everything was back up and running. She was able to let us stay an extra day to make up for the missed days. We are a big group of eight adults and one teenager. We have been renting vacation houses all over the New England coast for over 10 years. This house by far is our favorite. We actually saved money by not wanting to go out to eat or do anything! Just sitting and looking at this view and the pool was everything! It was the most relaxing and fun vacation we have taken! Even on a day it rained we swam! The house is perfect for a big group with lots of areas to find a quiet place to read or nap. You have all you need right here!

River View House
My husband and I shared this house with our adult children and a few of their friends. There was ample room for all of us. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked with plenty of all the necessary items. Our favorite spot was the large swimming pool. There is plenty of pool side seating and also a nice yard for outdoor games. The pool faces the river and this is also the view from the the dining area and bedrooms. It is an absolutely beautiful view.. There is a nice deck that juts out over the river.
I highly recommend this house for a fun and relaxing vacation spot. The owner gives a lot of attention to detail and comfort. She responds readily to questions and concerns. We loved the welcome basket filled with snacks and the bottle of wine chilling in the frig. We will definitely come back!
