About this villa rental
Nestled in Playa Hermosa, this charming villa for $350 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. This 3100sqft Villa includes 2 spacious master suites with walk in closets and private bathrooms. One of the master suites has an ocean view and opens up directly to the backyard patio while the other suite offers a bit more privacy. The eastern side of the house features two guest bedrooms with a shared bathroom. The kitchen includes granite countertops, a side-by-side refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and a stovetop oven. A half bath, washing machine, and dryer is located just off the home's entryway. The living and dining area has an open flow that leads outside to a covered patio and the pool area. The home is surrounded by grass lawns landscaped with privacy hedges and tropical palms. The elevated balcony above the patio is the perfect place to look up and down the beach to check out the surf conditions, or to see Playa Hermosa beautiful sunset. There is a 7 passenger Toyota Land Cruiser, available for rent during your stay at this property. Take your family on an adventure to Manuel Antonio National Park or Carara National Park. Crocodile Bridge is near Carara National Park entrance. There you can see massive Crocodiles relaxing in the sun. Go horseback riding, Parasailing, zip line over the jungle, rent an ATV, or stay home and have a barbecue. Treat yourself and make an appointment for a massage, while you relax and enjoy the sounds of the Pacific Ocean. We can help you make arrangement to set up tours, or even have someone come to cook for you. Your options is unlimited. Playa Jaco is 8 minutes away, where you can find several restaurants, banks, a farmers market, and a new mall. Our house manager Askel, is familiar with the area and can help you if you need additional information. Save The Waves Coalition announced that Playa Hermosa, Garabito, Costa Rica has officially been approved as the next World Surfing Reserve (WSR). The decision made by the Vision Council, a governing body of surf and conservation experts appointed by Save The Waves, was made during the Global Wave Conference on February 14 2020 in Gold Coast, Australia. Every year, many surf communities with rich surf ecosystems submit an application to receive the prestigious title, but only one is ultimately selected. The Playa Hermosa application demonstrated that the famous surfing beach deserved the World Surfing Reserve title due to the incredible biodiversity of the area, strong community support, and a clearly articulated conservation vision. Playa Hermosa is the center of surfing in Costa Rica and every year hosts surfers from around the world. Playa Hermosa will join the growing network of World Surfing Reserves across the globe including Malibu, California; Ericeira, Portugal; Manly Beach, Australia; Santa Cruz, California; Huanchaco, Peru; Bahia Todos Santos, Baja California, Mexico; Punta de Lobos, Chile; Gold Coast, Australia; Guarda do Embaú, Brazil; and Noosa Heads, Australia. Playa Hermosa is also a part of the wildlife refuge for sea turtles. – The refuge protects nesting Olive Ridley sea turtles – From July to December is the best time to see the females come to lay their eggs.

We had a wonderful time staying here and had no complaints at all. It has a great location right across the street from the beach, and a pool that we couldnt keep our kids out of! Highly recommended.

Our stay at Playa Hermosa was excellent. The house is even better than the pictures,… it was spotlessly clean and maintained and included everything you might need for a relaxing vacation.
We spent a lot of time hanging by the pool or enjoying the shade in the upstairs veranda. And the daily visits from the wild macaws added a tropical touch which we loved. Everyone involved was so helpful, it was appreciated.
Also don’t miss out on the nearby empanadas restaurant (the menu and ad was on the fridge). They made a great dinner after a day at the beach.
One thing to note, the beach across the street is a surfer’s beach and not safe for swimming. But it is so beautiful! And we loved hearing the sound of the crashing waves at all hours! I actually preferred the pristine solitude of ‘our’ beach to a more crowded and/or commercial swimmer’s beach

Only issue was the master shower. The tub was high and hard to climb in and out with a slippery floor when feet are wet. I fell and sprained my knee, so be careful or use other, easier showers.

We had a family of 6 stay here. All of us had a great time. We enjoyed the pool, the view, and location. It wasn’t too far from Jaco and there was nearby restaurants within a 5 min drive. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and spices as well as bbq utensils. Our only complaints is the towels are dingy and stained, some of the furniture particularly outdoor furniture needs to be cleaned, and bathroom tiles need caulking. Overall the stay was really great. If I ever visit CR again, we would stay here again.

We had a family of 6 stay here. All of us had a great time. We enjoyed the pool, the view, and location. It wasn’t too far from Jaco and there was nearby restaurants within a 5 min drive. We spent a lot of time in the water in the pool and the beach. I would like to point out that the beach is a beautiful black sand beach but it is more of a surfing beach than a swimming beach. The riptide is strong and there are signs warning against swimming. We still had fun playing in the waves, only going in thigh deep. We would recommend this as a place to stay.

This is the 10th time I stayed here. David, the new owner has remodeled an already beautiful house and made it so much better. Can’t wait for my 11th stay

Great House and location
Had a great time it was our 13th. time to be in Costa Rica and this was one of the best. The house is huge and has everything you could ask for. Both David the owner and the property manager were very helpful and easy to get in touch with. The house and grounds were very clean and in good shape along with a very nice pool which we used every day. The black sand beach is great to take long walks or run and during the week days very few people we will be back.

Realmente la casa nos encantó, segura y privada, con buen espacio, muy limpia, equipada, campo verde, buena piscina. Fuí con mis hermanos mi hija y mis padres buscando un lugar seguro donde estuviéramos en privado para no contagiarnos de COVID y aún así disfrutar y lo encontramos. Muchas gracias !

Very spacious and comfortable house
This house is really amazing. Is is beach front, and it has its own private pool. It is very spacious, the living room, the kithen, the rooms, everything is big, so it is perfect for 8 people. I went with my family and my 2 dogs, and we had the best time. The house has a very big yard, so that is great for dogs. The pool is perfect for realxing, after a day at the beach, and the house is so well equiped, that it has a grill, so you can enjoy a bbq and a couple drinks. Im just waiting for another holiday to go back. Plus, Playa Hermosa is just a 1.5 h drive from San Jose, so it is the perfect place for a weekend getaway.
