Loved my stay in Shimoda

Place where foreigners in Japan gather felt like. Accommodation is close to the Shimoda city and different selection of beaches. The staff is nice and knows English (for check-in, we got taken care of by a very nice British gentelman who workes there)
It offers also rental services like bikes or sufing gear.
The common room felt cozy and atmosphere was great.
Just the steep stairs to reception on second floor could be difficult with heavier luggage BUT the staff offers to help you take it if you need it.

Hostels was something I did in my 20’s and I thought I was over this sort of accommodations until I came here. The owners were incredible and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them and their lovely kids! I met some AMAZING fellow travelers. The community I made here feels so special to me. The location cannot be beat!

Nice hostes. Bikes available.
I found it very difficult to sleep. 3 bunker bed in a small room and bathroom and wc in the same room.
