ALBA AD ORIENTE

El tamaño de la habitación y el baño. El baño era muy grande y nuevo.

El baño no tenía ventilación y la habitación tampoco tenía mucha luz.

Het bed was heerlijk, fijne badkamer en een goed werkende airco in de woon/slaapkamer. Plus de service was erg fijn van de host.

Struttura accogliente, pulita e host disponibile qualora si presentano problemi. Abbiamo soggiornato due notti e il condizionatore non andava per via delle pile e Cristina non ha esitato a risolvere il problema, cordiale e gentile. Ci ha dato il benvenuto un simpaticissimo cagnolino all’entrata del piano di sotto.

Peccato per la finestra, che non si può aprire per via delle tende che fanno da ostacolo, non potendo far arieggiare così la stanza. La finestra del bagno idem, non siamo riusciti ad aprirla. Forte odore non gradevole all’entrata subito dopo il cancelletto. Considerando il prezzo complessivo rivedrei queste cose così da poter esserci un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo.

The B&B is conveniently located a 10 minute walk from the centre

The address on the advert is incorrect, advert states No.2 the B&B is actually No.36, which we only discovered after ring the doorbell at No.2 and receiving answer. We telephoned the owner of Alba Ad Oriente who told us the address is No.36. We arrived at No.36, which is at the other end of the road around the corner facing an old run down football pitch covered in graffiti etc. There is no signage on the B&B to let you know you have arrived. The B&B itself is 3 stories high, a lady lives on the ground floor, who we assumed to be the owner’s mother, the owner and the B&B room are on the second floor, the third floor is derelict. There is a dog chained to the garden fence day and night and although this did not bark or bother us we did find it disturbing that the dog was left out all the time in the heat. The welcome was non-existent, we were given a code number for the key box at the entrance to the ground floor, helped ourselves to the key and let ourselves in. The door was very old and wooden and was difficult to unlock/lock and the outside lights on the steps up to the B&B room were not working. The veranda has a table and chairs but is somewhat cluttered with dead plants etc.,. The B&B room itself is large, clean and tidy, there is a small fridge on the floor and a pod-coffee machine on the dresser, neither were plugged in and therefore the fridge took quite a while to cool. The bathroom is big and modern. The toilet seat was broken and when we brought this to the attention of the owner she said she was waiting for a part to repair it????, the tiled floor in the walk-in shower is very hazardous and slippery when wet. Breakfast in the morning is a walk to a café on the main road and consists of a coffee and croissant, probably 3 euro at best.
