Very central location but in a quiet residential area. It’s an unmanned hostel with 5 functional 7 m2 room, private descent size modern bathroom, comfortable bunkbed, top window can be open. The communal kitchen is super clean with all amenities, large table with sofas and chairs and a big tele where you can stream your favourites. Really value for money.
Arne’s bakery across the street for breakfast/“fika”
The place is run by a charity that provide rent free flats to older people that cannot afford to pay rent

What I liked
Quiet neighbourhood while still conveniently located near the centre.
Clean rooms with everything needed for a short stay.
Spacious toilet and shower room, especially compared with the very small rooms.
Easy self-service check-in and check-out.
Clear information provided through Booking.com.
Pleasant common area with a kitchen and dining space.
Overall, convenient and well organised.
The rooms are extremely small, which may not suit everyone.
We needed extra towels and hand soap, but as there is no staff on site, it wasn’t clear how to request them.
The hand soap was almost empty when we arrived.
The keypad instructions at the entrance could be difficult for international guests, as there was no language option.
A clearer way to contact someone or request basic supplies would improve the experience.

Extremely convenient location just a short walk from Helsingborg C railway station, the waterfront and the rest of town.
The blackout in the room made sleeping easy.
My room had a connecting door - this made for very noisy neighbours in the adjoining room at night.
The AC never dropped the room temperature below 25°C, and in a windowless room it got very stuffy.
During the heat a local electricity substation broke down, cutting the power to the block. This deactivated the door locks, meaning I was trapped outside. Without staff present on site this meant an anxious wait. Make sure you note down all contact details before you leave your room!
