The property was in a lovely area with beautiful scenic views. There are multiple properties on the land, I think 5 in total including the main house, but each one is still very private. There are spa treatments available if you would like to indulge in them. When we arrived it was lovely and warm. I requested for some rose petals or a small birthday theme as it was both me and my partner’s birthdays the weekend we visited. Originally we got told that that is not something that they can provide but upon our arrival I was pleasantly surprised to see a “love” banner hanging on the headboard, chocolates, candles, rose petals, 2 lots of fresh roses in vases, a love heart filled with rose petals made from towels on the bed, home made short bread in the shape of love hearts which were delicious and a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us in the fridge. The hideaway was very clean and tidy, bed was super comfortable and the indoor bath and hot tub really made our stay. The local supermarkets and takeaways are about a 10-15 minute drive which was perfect.
The only thing that didn’t work for us was that it does look all fenced off and enclosed on the photos but unfortunately it wasn’t. This may not be a problem if you’re not travelling with dogs but we had both of our dogs with us so it made it difficult when they needed to go to the toilet or get some fresh air as they had to be on lead at all times. Also, walking out of the property you find yourself on a country road so we had to put the dogs in the car and drive to walks. There are lots of lovely walks only a 10-20 minute drive away though.

Beautifully situated cabin with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. Well designed and built, with a comfortable bed, good kitchen with all the fixtures and fittings. Very spacious with an excellent Hot Tub.
There was a barbecue which looked good but we didn't get the chance to use. It has a lovely bathroom and a freestanding copper bath in the massive bedroom.
We arrived to find that the owners had very thoughtfully provided a pint of fresh milk! (Very welcome)
a lovely bottle of sparkling wine (even more welcome)
and a box of very tasty fudge!
Bliss!!
Best of all we could take our three dogs :)
It was lovely, I only wish we could have stayed longer!
The sofa was comfortable once you were seated but very low down, which made it very difficult for us older folk to get out of. It was a real struggle!
But probably easier for younger or more agile people.
There was no completely enclosed area, to let the dogs roam free, so we couldn't let the dogs out to run around, they had to be on leads the whole time they were outside, which was a little frustrating. But to be fair that's only an issue for dog owners and won't be a problem for anyone else.
Apart from these two niggles, we loved "The Hideaway" and had a lovely stay 👍
