Picket Fence Cottage is a 3 bedroom, 1 &1/2 bath home within walking distance of MTSU and the historic downtown square, a PRIME location! This charming 1927 cottage is sure to please when you see the welcoming front porch and white picket fence. Come inside and enjoy the beautiful restoration, highlighted by the original hardwood floors, gorgeous crown moldings and glass doorknobs. This home has been fully restored, which includes new paint, plumbing, tankless hot water heater, lighting, Wi-Fi, granite countertops, and stainless-steel appliances, while keeping the historic charm of its 1927 heritage. As you enter the front door you will find the living room outfitted with a high quality leather recliner and sofa. Watch your favorite show on the 55" flat screen smart TV. Enjoy “live” TV through our subscription to Hulu and many other Apps with your own personal log in. The dining room boasts a sparkling new chandelier that adds ambiance to a romantic meal or special gathering. The antique furniture includes a lovely dining table with comfortable seating for 6 . . . a place where memories are made! The renovated kitchen is complete with an adorable breakfast nook and coffee bar! Dan loves to cook and has outfitted the kitchen with all the necessary items needed to create your culinary delights. The cottage has an under counter water filtration system for the kitchen. All 3 bedrooms have queen beds, with memory foam mattresses. 2 of the bedrooms have Roku smart TV's and all 3 bedrooms have phone chargers at the bedside and room darkening curtains. *PLEASE NOTE: The middle bedroom is a “walk-through” bedroom. The back bedroom has a separate entrance from the courtyard. The main bath has a tiled tub/shower combo. A brand new tankless hot water system has been installed so that you will never run out of hot water while taking a shower! But wait . . . that is not all! Out back, the cottage hides a charming secret garden, that is so private and serene you will never want to leave. It is enclosed by a fence and canopy of trees. We arrived and were thrilled to see the house was along the MTSU Homecoming Parade route. Simply walked up to the corner (1 house back from Main Street) and there was the parade. We were able to walk to the tailgate and football game in no time. The home is beautifully decorated and has great outdoor space as well. Owners are wonderful to communicate with and such gracious hosts. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this home for a stay in Murfreesboro.

We had a wonderful trip celebrating our son's graduation from MTSU. The Picket Fence Cottage was the perfect place to call home for our family. Clean, cozy, well appointed, close to MTSU, quite neighborhood and just overall cute! We definitely recommend to others. Rebecca is very responsive and her homemade cinnamon rolls were terrific!

We have traveled extensively and stayed in many vacation homes over the years, but none of them can compare to the experience of Rebecca and Dan’s cottage. They have thought of everything imaginable, to make the accommodation comfortable. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood, but just minutes away from everything we needed. The accommodations were immaculate both in and out. The attention to detail and the attentiveness of our hosts made this a memorable experience for my family and myself.

This charming “cottage” is one of the favorite places we’ve stayed. The property owners are very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. Everything was super clean and inviting. The location is ideal for those visiting Murfreesboro- very close to MTSU and downtown. Beautiful neighborhood. We hope to stay here again. Highly recommend!!

Do not pass this cottage up!
This was the most amazing stay to date and we've stayed in quite a few VRBOs. From the 1st inquiry to Rebecca, to the last message that we left, it was THE BEST experience ever! House was clean, comfy, it felt homey, she left homemade cinnamon buns on the kitchen island along with a note to our dear daughter wishing her luck at the camp she was invited to play in. That personal touch really hit a home run with us. We cooked, we continued to eat as a family in the beautiful dining room, played one of our favorite games in the backyard during our down time, slept in the comfy beds, etc. I can go on and on. There is no way I would stay anywhere else the next time I am in Murfreesboro! If you want yummy Mac n Cheese balls, you NEED TO go to The Boulevard Bar & Grille. You can walk or drive. The service was impeccable. Hoping to be back in July 2023. Thank you Rebecca and Dan for sharing your beautiful home which we loved so much! We didn't want to leave :)

We so enjoyed the charm of the home as well as the amenities available. I’m a bit of a neat freak and was impressed with the cleanliness!! I’m also focused on comfort, the living room furniture is super comfy as well as the beds.
Will definitely stay again, or rent another property from Rebecca in the future if the need presents itself!

The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was stocked with plush towels, nice shampoo, conditioner as well as lotion. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of plates, bowls, untensils, coffee mugs and more. The location is closed to the university and we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood, appreciating some unique architecture in the area.
We highly recommend this property and will definitely stay here again in the future.
