TownePlace Suites by Marriott Conroe

Great location and easy access to shopping, restaurants, and entertainment. The hotel is quiet and very clean. Housekeeping staff is phenomenal! I'm very picky about cleanliness and bring my own cleaning supplies. I didn't need them, as the room was spotless! The towel racks in the bathroom are a nice surprise and deeply appreciated. The closet was spacious, and we had more than enough room for 2 people to store our belongings. The pool and the public access areas were also very well maintained.

Breakfast could be improved. Low quality offering but anyone who has children will likely appreciate the breakfast. I only tried the first day and the menu was powdered eggs, sausage patties, biscuits & gravy, cold boiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal and DIY waffles. There was juice and coffee as well.

It was very clean and quiet. Spacious room. Staff very nice. The furniture, blankets, towels, and sheets are new. Parking included. Delicious breakfast. I like so much.

Breakfast was great, room was great and sooo clean. One of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Pool was nice. Staff was so helpful and friendly! Will be staying again!

Location was easy to get in and out of; staff was always friendly and helpful, with one exception detailed later. Breakfast was good with good options. Staff around the breakfast area was not always present and during my time there the trash was quite full.

A minor item: the pillows on the bed were terrible; flat, they were basically like trying to sleep on a thick sheet rather than a pillow. The larger issue: The fire alarm went off just after 7am and continued for several minutes. My wife and I dressed and had just left the room to evacuate when it shut off. As it turned out, the fault was with the kitchen staff overcooking something and not an actual fire; so our 1 day of vacation and only chance to sleep late was ruined. This alarm also disabled the elevators for quite a while which was quite inconvenient. None of the staff ever mentioned the fire alarm nor did they apologize for the inconvenience until I directly asked them while checking out. Even then they offered no apology until I asked if they were offering any discount or compensation to guests for the inconvenience. They then apologized and said no. If I owned and operated a hotel and my staff committed an error that inconvenienced every guest in the building you can bet I would immediately offer an apology to every guest who entered the lobby and would comp them in some way during checkout. Up until the fire alarm went off, the staff was wonderful, following the alarm their attention to guests was sub par.
