I have stayed here previously and loved it that much I had to return. Such a lovely location, great for walkers. Ideal for people who want a bit of peace. It’s the perfect place to go if you want to switch off from technology too. Don’t think I picked up my phone during my stay! It’s a very long journey for me but even for one night away here it is so worth it.

The property was beautiful, lots of character and charm in a beautiful area. There is a lovely walk nearby with a well and streams. It’s right on the doorstep of the Forest of Dean which is a beautiful place to visit. The Old Furnace room has lots of room and had everything we needed to cater for ourselves with a nice living room/kitchen all-in-one with seating areas in the conservatory. The rooms and bathrooms upstairs were nicely kept and again had all we needed. The hosts were great, kept asking if there was anything we needed to just give them a shout. I’m looking forward to returning here, we didn’t want to leave!

Location, peace and quiet. Characterful property.
Only velux windows in the Bat Loft, so light comes in but no opportunity to look out - made it feel claustrophobic.
It got very stuffy in the Bat Loft and there was no fan in the room. I was told where I could buy one though!
