The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, which was very useful for preparing our own meals. We were also able to leave our luggage after check-out at the office on the 8th floor, which was very convenient and allowed us to enjoy the rest of the day without carrying our bags.

The communication and arrival process could be improved. We arrived at 8:44 AM, before the official check-in time, and knew that luggage storage was available. However, we received no response through the property’s business WhatsApp. At around 9:40 AM, we eventually went to the office on the 8th floor ourselves and knocked on the door. A staff member was there, and once we reached him, he immediately gave us access to our room. Clearer instructions about the office and what to do if there is no response on WhatsApp would have been very helpful. There is also a sign near the elevators on the ground floor displaying a Wi-Fi password, but the password is incorrect. The correct Wi-Fi details are available inside the apartment and worked fine. This is particularly inconvenient for arriving international guests who may need Wi-Fi to contact the property. Fortunately, we had mobile data. There were also a few practical issues in the apartment. The kitchen did not have a proper knife for cutting or preparing food, only table knives. In the bathroom, the glass shower screen does not properly contain the water, so the bathroom floor gets very wet after every shower. We were provided with three small towels, which we had to rotate and leave outside to dry. The sink also does not drain properly because its design does not allow the water to flow toward the drain. Finally, the apartment only had one type of power outlet and no adapter, so we had to buy an adapter to charge some of our devices.

Very stressful check-in due to poor communication After booking, the property contacted me to arrange payment outside of Booking, which I understand is common in Argentina. During normal reception hours, I was asked for my passport and was told I was exempt from IVA tax as a non-resident. I paid using the links they sent. When I arrived in Buenos Aires after a long trip, I was contacted by a different after-hours staff member who asked me to resend everything. I was then told I did need to pay IVA tax, contradicting what I had already been told. The staff member didn’t understand the difference between tax residency and citizenship and insisted I needed an Australian passport, which I don’t have. After a 23-hour journey, this back-and-forth was extremely stressful. I even asked to cancel but was told the booking was non-refundable, so I ended up paying the tax just to be able to stay. This situation was caused entirely by inconsistent information and lack of staff training. Very disappointing and avoidable.
