Great place and host was fantastic. I would definitely stay here anytime I need a place and I’m in the area. It’s worth the price paid.

Inner city vibe with unreliable cleaning service

Well to start i wasn’t pleased with how the rates are I overlooked the booking saying it slept 9 people but I would be charged for everybody after 2 people it’s 4 of us that’s why we needed 3 rooms the bedroom door was broken so every time you closed it there was a loud noise the oven didn’t heat up so some of our food was destroyed because we put it in the oven to cook slowly overnight my son thought he saw a mouse then saw that there were traps and also some kinds of bugs one was a millipede and so other we sprayed with the spray under the sink cleanliness it was ok but we swept the floors an wiped the kitchen down once we were in there we used the microwave to melt chocolate an it sparked on us the beds were really low to the floor and was supposed to be queen size but they were very small to be queens and very uncomfortable host we there when we messaged them an it was pet friendly which was good but I dnt think I would stay again didn’t really enjoy my Christmas stay too much

The place had mice feces ALL OVER, mice poison everywhere, live electrical wire hanging off ceiling, broken furniture, rusted holes in bathtub surround by black mold, very very dirty, urine-stained mattresses which is a biohazard. Took pictures to send to owner and VRBO and VRBO agrees this is unsanitary and should be removed from their web listing. Cancelled reservation upon arrival and owner claimed my reasons were not reasons to cancel. I’m not sure what filth they think is acceptable, but this is not acceptable and should not be listed to anyone. AVOID

Finding the place was extremely difficult. It would have helped having a light on as the street was very dark. There were four steps up to the front porch, the hand rail was very loose and I almost fell into the bushes. We got in only to find the beds not made, the laundry on the floor, dishes in the sink, garbage over-flowing. Impossible to stay and no way to connect with the owner.

This was great for our after-concert needs (sleeping). Definitely needs updated in the kitchen and bathroom. Once all of the fees were added, the cost was more than quadruple the advertised price. We typically like to get rentals because they are cheaper than getting 2-3 hotel rooms but in this case, a hotel would have been easier and a whole lot cheaper.

Cute duplex on quiet street in a safe neighborhood.
3 bedroom, living room eat in kitchen. Everything provided for a great weekend.

The property is in a nice neighborhood. The inside had lots of space, the beds and couches were comfortable. Nicks Pizza, Lucky's market and Starbucks are two blocks away.

The property had no exterior lighting and arriving after dark made it extremely difficult to navigate the front porch stairs. The house needed extreme cleaning. The ceiling fan in the bedroom, the air exchanges, and lamps were covered in heavy dust and dirt. The bathroom shower had mold around the window and the shower curtain was torn and hanging from broken and missing hooks. There were several species of bugs crawling on the floor and ceiling. The dishes were dirty and the small amount of dish soap on the counter was watered down. I have photos if needed.

I booked this location to attend a funeral. The photos seemed good and the reviews were ok. When we arrived my mother in law said she found a cockroach in her room. There were cob webs in the living room and in a bedroom. The shower was also moldy and dated. The front porch needs repairs. My
Mother in law also found some hairs in the kitchen. We left the next morning as we were disappointed and booked somewhere else. We communicated over the next few days with the owners to try and arrange a partial refund if possible. They told me to cancel the booking. I tried but the site wouldn’t allow me to, yet it also said cancelled in my list of cancelled bookings. It was very frustrating. I spent waisted time trying to communicate with the owners who today are trying to tell me I left the lights and air on (honestly we left so quickly, within 12 hours of arriving) it’s possible we left the air on but I know I turned the lights off. Now I am getting emails accusing us of damaging wall paper. Damage that was there when we arrived. spent the week trying to deal with a death in the family but wasted my time stressing about this booking. I don’t want a refund, I want to forget that I spent grieving hours dealing with this. I booked an amazing place on a different site. I have stayed at other Vrbos and NEVER had an issue or problem. I am clean, respectful, responsible, and reasonable. I am a professional and I work hard for my money, but I’m over dealing with this.

We certainly wished we had seen the updated reviews prior to booking. The whole place needs some TLC from the holes in the front porch, to the moldy smell when you open the front doors, to the mold in the bathroom and the condition of the backyard. We were specifically looking for a place with a backyard. This was one of the few places that offered it but it was unusable. The grill we didn’t even take the moldy cover off not knowing what we’d find The front & back both needed maintenance
The location was convenient for getting to things we wanted to do, however, to say the area is “diverse “ is an understatement. Don’t go down the alley!!! The sirens during the night were a bit unsettling. If you’re into dive bars…you’re in luck 3 within walking distance.
Cleaning fees should have been waived. There was a bag of garbage hanging on the door in the bathroom. The microwave was unusable. We had to ask for add’l supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap & garbage bags) The oven doesn’t work
HOWEVER the host was responsive to our requests & when the power went out-due to a storm. He even asked if he could enter the house while we were gone to bring supplies
Bottom Line would not recommend for a girls trip due to the area.

Very close to the lake to go swimming! Bathroom was somewhat small but it worked. Nice vrbo for a group of 4 friends who took to exploring Cleveland!

The property was overgrown both back and front yard, which given the sketchy neighborhood I think having clean landscaping would be more welcoming and add safety to the property. I found it a little unnerving that there was a door off the kitchen that could only be accessed from the other side, that I figure led to the upstairs as well as the basement, and that in addition to that there were two front entrances so I can only assume that if someone was in the other part of the house than they could easily access the part of the house your staying in. I think the owner needs to be very upfront about this. Some reviews mention parking in the back …well someone I’m guessing the owner was parked there….in the only available spot in the back so no parking available. Also if you go in the back alley there is graffiti everywhere to include the garage and fence of the house. The back gate is not secure, and being that obvious and potential gang activity is happening just behind the fence I think securing the gate potentially with a coded lock as well as some solar charging security lights might make the property a little less unnerving. The front porch was welcoming and quirky, although the porch may need some structural work in the future. The inside of the house was quite nice. The back door was all glass and given the obvious potential for a break-in I would recommend replacing it with a steel door with kick plate etc, along with other entrances.

Property has a great location. Hosts were good with communication and there was some effort to make the interior cute, like art and throw pillows. The sheets & comforters appeared clean, beds were decent, TV nice, sofas great!
HOWEVER, there are serious problems. First, the front porch has a very large area of rotted and broken planks, and yet there is a swing sofa chair situated right over it, inviting people to sit despite the literal hazard that they could fall through the collapsing porch. If this were somehow blocked or boarded off, I might not complain, but it is the lack of care for people who might actually sit on it that bothers me!
Also, the property was listed as having a fenced yard. It does. When we arrived the nearly broken-off back gate was open and I had to snap very large weeds to force it closed. The entire property is overgrown, with long, weedy grass. I had to pick up garbage. There is a table & chairs encrusted with debris & uninviting, dirty chair cushions stored under the stairs. There is a grill, but it is covered with a very dirty, mildewed cover. If people care enough about their dogs to seek a fenced yard, they would never release them free in this yard!
Inside, there was debris under the beds, including dust, garbage, a lighter, etc. It was frustrating to pay a cleaning fee for this property. Can't plug in a charger by all beds. Shower is mildewed & curtain is falling off. AC units work well, but bugs come in under them. Refrig froze our food.

There were some things that I wanted to be addressed about the residence that were not handled. I called and my phone call wasn't answered but then I received a text saying “sorry we missed your call, how can we help you.” Then I called back again and a business answered the phone and when I told them my concerns and the things I would like to get handled they said they would let the property owner know and he would be calling me back shortly. No one ever returned a phone call to me. Then I text the number that asked for help, so I can try to get an answer and they never responded that way either! I felt like this was the worst communication from any place I have ever stayed.

Perfect location for exploring downtown attractions like Rock Hall of Fame, ballpark, Edgewater Beach Park, West Side Market. 10 minutes to everything. We had 2 cars and were able to find street parking out front. Beds are comfortable. We appreciated the new bag of coffee provided by the host. The property is old but well appointed. It really needs a deep clean throughout and some replacements in the bathroom (shower curtain and towels).

It was a nice and quiet neighborhood and the parking was great nice and easy. The poured was so nice to sit on at night and the beds were comfortable as well.

Rented the house for a few friends from out of town to have a place to stay. It was exactly what we needed and I have no complaints about the host or the space itself. I gave it 4 stars only because the nightly rate listed made the stay appear to be much more affordable. They charge $20 for extra guests and then tack on cleaning fees and other expenses. Just be aware before booking. Also, they listed that the place sleeps 9, however that is also a stretch. There are 3 bedrooms and no pullout beds or couches so if you have a group larger than 6 there will be guests sleeping on the leather sofas.
Otherwise this was exactly what we were looking for and we had a very nice stay.

Great location. It was easy to get to the Flats, Western suburbs and downtown.

We stayed one night for a 12 year old sleepover, the girls had a blast. Lots of space and love the hardwood floors.

The unit is adorable and spacious. I did forget to ask if I could buy the pink swan in the kitchen! :) location is fantastic and we felt safe in the neighborhood. Management was very responsive and worked with us for an early check in time since we just drove all the way from Florida. Highly recommend. Do test the beds before choosing. It's a three bears situation.

The rental was very clean and spacious the only problem was the backdoor being see through as well as someone kept trying to come in during our stay if I wasn’t there half of the time they would of just came in the thermostat wasn’t working when we got there which wasn’t a big issue until it began snowing and the house was freezing I contacted the host she never responded to my concern causing me to check out the night before early

This is not a luxury rental, nor does it promise to be. It is, however, a nice space in a very convenient location. The property is dated - I compared it to visiting grandma's house - but clean and functional. Communication with the host was easy and efficient.

House was nice. Description mentioned coffee, but there was none. Just had to go back out and buy some.

Neighbors didn't bother us. Can set thermostat yourself. Beds were clean. Furniture was in good condition. Plastic silverware was plenty available. Plates and bowls were readily available and clean. Place stayed very warm when temperature was raised. Towels and linens were available and clean.
Shower Liner was moldy. No hand soap in the bathroom. Under the beds and couches weren’t cleaned. No tea, coffee can was empty, despite advertising the commodities. No closet space to spread out clothes, but there was a hanging rack in one of the bedrooms.
We didn't reach out to the renter because we weren't staying long enough for any of this to be a significant issue.

Small vintage home close to Cleveland and a great price compared to hotels in the area for sure. Nice family room to rest after traveling a full day. Have to be able to appreciate an older home with squeaky floors, small rooms and all that come with a vintage home. Easy communication with owner.

If you book this VRBO you need to understand that there is ONLY street parking and if you arrive after 5pm you are competing with everyone who lives on this street for parking.
This was our halfway point to our vacation in Vermont. We arrived at 11pm after having driven 12 hrs. When we arrived, there was no place to park. We had a truck full of expensive things (bikes, music equipment ) and had to double-park and UNLOAD OUR TRUCK because we ended up parking blocks away. Also, if you arrive at night, it is too dark to see the house number. The outside lights are motion sensor lights, so you must actually be on the porch for the light to come on. We had to double-park and walk on the sidewalk to see the house number. Just be aware that you’re competing for parking after 5pm. If you arrive during the day, it will likely be fine. And also? This is NOT a quiet neighborhood! There were cars speeding down the street with music blaring. There were drunk people on the sidewalk. (Remember we were there very late at night. But it was a TUESDAY night!) I slept a total of about two hours all night.
I had notified our host, Dennice, of our late arrival. She told me the house had motion sensor lights. But she didn't warn me about any parking difficulties.
This house is not clean. We slept on top of one of the beds with our own blanket because of this. It was gross. It does have a small, fenced yard, which is why we rented it. We brought our two dogs and wanted them to be able to do their business without having to be on leash. But the yard is trashy. The kitchen cabinets were dirty – they’re metal like what you might find in a garage.
We had also booked this VRBO for our return trip from Vermont, but I canceled that reservation because of this parking situation and lack of cleanliness. I ended up eating the cost for a one-night reservation because we couldn't afford for this to happen to us again after a 12 hr drive back from Vermont.
I honestly don’t understand why other people haven’t mentioned any of this. It’s very curious.

The only good news is that the host communicates quickly, and that check-in is easy.
This property, though, is not in condition to be a rental, sorry to say. The bathroom features a commode that hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long, a bathtub/shower with mildew throughout, a cracked pedestal sink that wasn't secured to the wall properly, ant traps on the floor, ...you get the point. The house smells inside, perhaps from insecticide. The base of the front door is about to fall off and you have to slam the door everytime to keep it shut. There are several code violations with light fixtures missing in the kitchen, and strange wiring coming out on the floor from behind the refrigerator. The floor board heating vent covers haven't been painted in years. Glad to share photos of all the above if needed.

Property is describe very accurately in the description. Very easy to work with. Enjoyed our weekend stay.

We stayed for a weekend with a free friends and the size was perfect. Also, the location was great for us and the neighborhood was quiet and safe.

This property is in a great location if you’re looking to go downtown or to the local area restaurants and bars. Beds were comfortable and the place was clean. Nice front porch but back yard was unusable. It is a century home and not updated so no dishwasher and the refrigerator wasn’t great, but it worked. There were also a lot of rules/warnings about being quiet and only two people are included in the price listed even though it is a 3 bedroom home. Each additional person is extra per person so read the listing carefully! We did have a nice time though and it served our purpose.
5.0
Clean, kitchen well equiped. Walking distance to points of interest. Comfortable.
