A very good pub with good quality separate accommodation. Located next to Bath Racecourse, a golf club and lovely countryside whilst the park and ride into Bath (10 minute journey) is only 400m away.

You arrive into this lovely country looking pub, friendly staff who were so welcoming. We had booked the hotel to attend an event close by and was lucky that the room was ready two hours earlier than the check in time. We had the pleasure of staying in a room which looked as if it was a beautiful converted stable. It had lovely country deco feeling, very clean and the bed was big and comfy. It contained tea and coffee facilities, some biscuits and big soft towels. The following morning we were served a lovely big full English breakfast, which was our choice off the menu. There were lots of other options including vegan and a selection of mini pastries, cereals and yogurt choices.
We also enjoyed a pub meal the night before, again loads of items on the menu. We decided on a burger and English ham, egg and chips. The meals were lovely, good value, and served with a smile.
The pub was great for attending an event at bath races. Five minutes walk away.

The room was well appointed. It had a private courtyard for the rooms away from the hotel. It was away from the busyness of Bath but just a short walk to the bus. The breakfast was first class and the other meals delicious.
The only bed linen is a quilt which is too hot. A second sheet would have been preferable

Staff were friendly. Location was convenient. Dog friendly. Breakfasts were good. Room interior, bed and shower were fine.
The exterior of the accommodation was very tired with paint peeling, and the glass window in our door was boarded up. (We were told that the glaziers had been contacted, but they didn't appear during our 2 night stay). It was generally a bit of a building site with work going on outside the front of the hotel. We had booked a meal in the pub on the first night - food options were limited and a quite a few were not available. The fish and chips were completely tasteless and the dessert of strawberries and cream (£9) comprised of 3 halved strawberries, 4 dollops of 'honey' cream with a blob of something on top that was horridly sweet and a bits of scone dumped on top. Luckily the breakfasts were quite good (probably a different chef), but we had to put up with the cleaners working around us whilst we were eating. The accommodation wasn't cheap, so would have expected a bit more for the money.
