Come be our guest at this amazing Tuscan sanctuary nestled in the hills above the Edna Valley wine region. Escape the fast-paced city for a relaxing staycation with your family and closest friends in a 4,800 square foot custom made architectural wonder. Quietly secluded on an 8+ acre property, this Mediterranean masterpiece will be your vacation oasis treating you to picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean, Pismo Beach, the expansive Santa Lucia Mountain Range and accompanying Seven Sisters Mountain peaks stretching from San Luis Obispo to the sea.
Upon entering the estate, you are greeted with a magnificent 25 foot foyer with a wall of windows showcasing the property’s magnificent oak trees and an exceptional ocean view. You and your guests will relish in multiple group seating areas including a large living room, formal dining room, breakfast nook and outdoor dining space. Should you desire a moment of privacy, escape to one of the five spacious guests rooms in the main house and enjoy personal access to the veranda that surrounds the villa. Simply enjoy a moment of personal quiet, you can bask in the serenity of Villa Chula. The property features 5 bedrooms, 2 king and 2 queen, a bonus guest room, 4.5 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, 3 fireplaces and 1 wood burning stove. You will marvel at the custom craftmanship that permeates every inch of the property: vaulted ceilings with an elaborate truss system; Saltillo tile floors, solid Mahogany and Oak doors, handcrafted handrails, light fixtures and chandeliers. However, just know you are in close proximity to excellent dining, shopping and entertainment located at nearby Arroyo Grande (a 5 minute drive), Pismo Beach, Avila Beach and San Luis Obispo. Other amenities nearby include Costco, Whole Foods and Trader Joes in nearby San Luis Obispo or local options near Villa Chula at he nearby Arroyo Grande Village.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The house was beautiful, spacious, and clean. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax comfortably, and the home was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed.One of the highlights was the incredible view—it was breathtaking and made our mornings and evenings especially enjoyable. The beds and living spaces were very comfortable, making it easy to feel right at home.The property was well-maintained, inviting, and exceeded our expectations in every way. We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway and would gladly stay here again.

The place is uniquely beautiful, quiet and relaxing. Plenty of room for our family and a great way to enjoy the area. The hosts were very responsive and friendly.

I'd like to preface this by saying that the property was absolutely gorgeous, well-kept, and comfortable. However, we had some plumbing issues, without which, this review would easily be 5-stars.
The second night of our stay, one of the showers sprung a leak behind the wall and would not turn off. We contacted the owner (Phil) promptly and he responded promptly, assisting us in turning off the water to the house so repairs could be made. The owner's solution to the problem was to have his neighbor (a retired plumber) diagnose and fix the leak. Normally this would not be a problem, but the neighbor (a very sweet elderly man), had extreme difficulty moving around the property due to his age and physical ailments. Between the neighbor diagnosing the problem, going to the store to buy parts, then fixing the issue, our group was without running water for nearly an entire day and our plans were impacted. To add to this, the handle of the toilet in the same bathroom broke, which resulted in the toilet flooding the bathroom floor before we caught it.
These plumbing issues were no one's fault, but they did seriously impact our experience as we were without running water for nearly an entire day. Because of this, I tried reaching out to the owner after our stay to ask if he would consider reducing the cost of one of the nights due to the problems we faced. Unfortunately, I did not receive a response, which was quite disappointing and off-putting.
