Situated in South Haven, this charming house for $232 per night is a great choice for your next break. Nicely decorated and immaculate 3 bedroom home with 1 remodeled bath. Perfect for a couple celebrating a special occasion, two families, a group of friends, or a relaxed spiritual retreat. The home is located 0.5 miles from the Blue Stairs before you reach South Beach in a lovely quiet and safe neighborhood. The front entry doorway has a keyless door entry into our living room simply decorated with a couch, chair and tables. It has a very peaceful ambience where you can relax, read a good book or reflect on the memories you will engrave in your heart on this trip. The open combined kitchen is the Place for everyone to gather for eating, maybe watching a good movie or taking a snooze. The kitchen is a full service kitchen with dishes, utensils and pots and pans. We have hopefully provided everything you will need. Extras are picnic basket located right by the fireplace, baggies, foil, paper towels, etc. The sitting area also has a cozy and romantic flair for that special couple affair. There is a Roku TV in the sitting/dining area.This combined area has doors to the backyard and to the garage. The backyard has a small patio with chairs and table. As reflected in pictures although yard not fenced it is private and serene with a nice flower garden. Grill, charcoal, fluid and fire pit with wood provided. You can set up the yard as you like. There is an extra table in the garage with table cloth. To open the garage door from sitting area you will open the door and press button to the left of the door. Garage has 3 used adult bikes and 2 used children bikes, some beach goodies , puzzles and toys for kids. We love sometimes sitting outside in garage; chairs are provided to sit in front and enjoy our peaceful neighborhood. Bedrooms are located on the other side of house. All bedrooms have a night stand and or dresser, chairs and ceiling fans. Please use fan light chains. Only Master bedroom has a Roku flat screen TV and a remote for fan and light. Other bedrooms also have ceiling fans with light.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Haven on Hazen over Labor Day weekend. The property had plenty of space for our party of 6 (4 adults / 2 children), and the added bonus was it well equipped with all of the accessories needed for a fantastic stay in South Haven including beach toys, chairs, an umbrella - plus multiple wagons and a cart to make it easy to transport everything over to the stairs to take down to South Beach. The owner was responsive to requests and questions via messaging, and even provided wood for the fire pit in the backyard. Overall great stay, and great experience - would recommend and would return to this property.

Our family enjoys spending time at Lake Michigan. We have stayed in many rentals over the years on our MI trips, but this home by far has been the best location. We were able to ride bikes to the beach every day and avoid trying to find parking. In the evenings we rode our bikes downtown and enjoyed all of the shops and restaurants South Haven has to offer. The house was clean and the hosts were very responsive. We used the beach chairs, sand toys, and bikes that were available for use in the garage; these were an added bonus. This home is a great option for a beach getaway!

It’s like going home and staying at grandma’s house. Perfect size for my family of 5 and I loved all the extra beach stuff in the garage. It was nice not to worry about packing that stuff knowing it was already there.

Hosts are generous with extras like blankets, bikes and kitchen ware. The family room only seats 4 but the house sleeps 6. If you plan to be out and about a lot, this home will suit your needs.

We had an excellent stay at this rental. There was great communication with the owner throughout the week. Everything was very clean. The house was very functional for our family vacation. We also really enjoyed using the bikes for many family bike rides. We were very happy with our stay here; thank you for everything!

We had a great stay at the Haven on Hazel. The house was well-stocked with paper goods, laundry detergent, soaps, dishes, sand toys, etc. Great location - walkable to the beach, the park, the splashpad, and downtown. The playground in the backyard was perfect for our kiddos.

Clean and tidy house with nice outside sitting area to enjoy morning coffee, after dinner drinks or just conversation. We found many nice and thoughtful additional items to make our stay comfortable. Also an easy walk to South Beach area. Really enjoyed our time there.

We had an excellent time on our visit to South Haven. Well located to town, within walking distance of So. Beach. The cottage was comfortable, well supplied kitchen, plenty of towels; perfect size for a small family or in our case four adult women. The most negative thing-was that the tub was high to get in and out for the less agile in the group. But we felt the area was safe, quiet and private. We had a wonderful visit and would come out again. Thank you!

The Haven was the perfect retreat for my wife and I while visiting family in South Haven. The only issues we had was a blown circuit when using the dryer and there was hair in the shower from a previous guest. Outside of those two issues everything was perfect. Thank you.

Enjoyed our stay here! House was clean, comfortable, and close to the beach and town. Enjoyed sitting on the patio, and there was even a swing set which our kids enjoyed. Would recommend!

Everything as shown. Nice to walk to beach and downtown So Haven. Amazed at the safe feeling, variety of transportation, dining. House is in great location and design for everything. Owner very responsive.

We were in town for a wedding so we didn't spend too much time at the house. The code for the front door didn't work well. We were questioned about some damage that had occurred before we arrived. But all in all it was adequate.

The property is located in a very quiet, family-oriented neighborhood walking distance to the beach. JoeAnn and Larry are awesome hosts who are very responsive and helpful. They pay close attention to details, and literally everything was provided for our stay. We felt so comfortable! They included lots of beach toys, 2 wagons, a cart, and 4 bikes as well as a nice-sized rolling cooler for the beach. Our 5-year- old enjoyed the play set in the back yard, and we all had a rousing whiffle ball game in the yard. The house is small but very nicely updated and well-maintained. Take a short bike ride or longer walk to the heart of South Haven for restaurants and shops.

A great week!
The home provided a great base for our summer vacation. We appreciated all of the extra towels, blankets, and paper products. We had a nice fire in the fire pit our last evening and grilled out and ate outside another evening. We made good use of the bicycles and beach materials! Overall a great experience! The neighborhood is very nice and quiet but close to the bike trail, park, beach, and just a few minutes drive from downtown.

Excellent location, very clean, adorable home.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house, it had everything we needed (and more!) for my husband and I and our two girls ages 5 and 2. The swing set was a great surprise and kept the girls busy while we were at the house. The location is excellent, though it was close enough to walk to South Beach and Kids Corner we did end up driving just because we had so much stuff. We spent lots of time at the beach and it couldn’t have been more convenient. The fire pit was another added bonus as my oldest really enjoyed roasting marshmallows one night. I especially appreciated the little extras that were at the house - plenty of garbage bags, baggies, washer detergent, etc. I have stayed at many places that only provide one days worth of these essentials. The beach chairs and high chair they left us were also much appreciated. The owners were amazing to work with, you can tell they really want their guests to be comfortable and enjoy themselves, which we certainly did. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was perfect for our Friends Getaway. It’s located in a nice quiet neighborhood close to downtown. It was very clean and had everything that we needed. The bunk beds in the smallest bedroom provided us “mature” ladies plenty of laughs!

Wonderful Stay
We highly recommend this property. From the beginning of the booking process the owners were very responsive and answered all of our questions. The home was super clean and had all of the essentials and even extras for any family. The wagons were super helpful for walks to and from the beach. The home is a 10-15 min walk to the blue stairs beach entrance and about a 20-25 minutes walk to town. The neighborhood was very quiet and the outdoor space was nice to have. The only thing missing was more comfortable outdoor patio furniture with an umbrella and a bigger table that was not in the grass. There were lots of mosquitos which is expected but it would be nice to have more concrete space outdoors and not so close to the grassy area. I also wish it was closer to town because we love walking and I can walk 25 mins but it’s more difficult with small children. We were lucky with parking but I imagine busier times of the year it can be more difficult.
Overall I highly recommend this property and the owners were wonderful to communicate with and truly care about their guests experience.

Great little home near the beach. It had everything we needed and nice surprise to have a swing in the backyard for our young son. We grilled a couple nights. Hosts were very helpful before and during our visit. Thank you.

Awesome location 1 mile from the beach. Home was perfect for 2 adults and 4 kids in a safe area. We loved the play set in the backyard, bunk beds in the kids room, and all the fun beach toys, chairs and umbrella in the garage.

This house was just perfect for our vacation in every way. Conveniently located a short walkable distance from South Beach, yet removed from the traffic and hubbub of the busyness of downtown South Haven. Clean and comfy, it was easy to find everything we needed, plus JoeAnn was always friendly and quick to respond to any questions about the rental or the town. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The neighborhood was silent at night for sleeping. The backyard offered a quiet refuge for drinking coffee in the morning and watching lightning bugs at night. We definitely plan to stay here again.
