We stayed for peak foliage season in the fall and the property views were gorgeous, the house was great, and good communication from the manager.

Good ,
fishing was terrible in the lake

Quiet getaway location. House was clean, stocked with everything you could want. Comfortable beds with upgraded bedding and towels. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are about an hour drive, which was perfect for us, I’ve stayed in Bar Harbor in the past but MUCH prefer this quiet get away. We used the kayaks to explore the lake. Only reason for 4 stars on check in, it was raining quite hard on our arrival and I struggled with the lock box, spotty service and the WIFI password wasn’t on site. Stephen was quick to respond with the password when I requested it. I will definitely plan a future trip back to this amazing lake house.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. Only an hour drive to bar harbor and Acadia. Would stay here again if Im back in the area

Great house! When we walked in our teen was thrilled and that pretty much made the trip :) Steven is great at communicating and answering questions. Thanks again for a great vacation!

We had a wonderful stay in all respects! The owner was always quick to respond to any questions both before and during our stay. We had everything we needed and then some! We typically visit the area every two years to reconnect with family and friends and we will be looking to stay here again!

The home was immaculate and beautifully and fully furnished. The owner was responsive to our needs and questions. It was a bit of a drive to food, restaurants, and points of interest, but wonderfully quiet and secluded. The lake was tranquil and great for water sports and swimming.

House is across street from lake-short walk from house. We enjoyed the fire pit every night and kayaking every day! Host was very accommodating. Lots of steps in house so might not be appropriate for people with mobility issues. We had a hard time regulating the temperature (got very hot in upper bedrooms) but was cool downstairs. Good Wi-Fi. Easy drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor (about 1 hour with 2 turns) which we did multiple times during our week. Brought bikes which we used around lake and Acadia. We appreciated the kuerig coffee and well stocked kitchen. Would highly recommend this for anyone that wants to enjoy Acadia, Bar Harbor and lake kayaking! Great family vacation. (We were 6 adults)

Property was exactly as advertised. Beautiful home with easy lake/dock access. Home is tucked away in a well maintained neighborhood, great for a quite and peaceful trip. Owner was very responsive to any inquiries and check in and check out was seamless. I would recommend staying here, just 30 min south of Bangor and an easy 1 hour drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor.

Communication with the owner was smooth and quick responses were received for all the questions asked. The house sits adjacent to a beautiful lake, and the dock made kayaking easy. The lake is beautiful to explore! The master bedroom is on a floor by itself with two additional bedrooms on the top floor. The open floor plan made the house feel very spacious.

We came up to visit Acadia National Park and spend the week with our family, and this house was beautiful and only 45 minutes to the park, groceries and other spots only 20 minutes we absolutely loved our stay and would love to come again!

Beautiful lake house right on the lake. The view was breathtaking! While there, it snowed which made the place even more magical. Our host checked with us, answered all the questions we had very quickly and provided all the essentials at the property, which by the way, was clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay with this host again, hopefully in the spring/summer so that we can enjoy the canoes and the water.

Great getaway right on the lake in beautiful Maine. Steve was very responsive and the property provided everything you could need for a lake house. On the days where the weather stopped us from sight seeing, the house had plenty to provide to have fun. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to see the beauty that Maine has to offer.

What can I say that hasn't already been said. Beautiful lake front home on Phillips Lake. Big, comfortable and super clean. Sand beach with pier, kayaks (with life jackets), fire pit and chairs. Spent every morning having coffee in the beach chairs at the lake. Great place to relax, take in the views and wonder why i didn't do this sooner! House is well stocked with everything you need. Check-in was a breeze and communicating with Steve was effortless. Acadia NP (and all there is to do there) is approximately 17 miles away. We certainly hope to return in the future. I highly recommend this place to anyone. You'll love it here!

What a beautiful lake house on Philips lake in Maine! Fantastic beachfront with fire pit. Great dock for docking our JetSki in the crystal clear water. House easily slept six people and the air-conditioning was a nice touch on the hot Maine summers. Road was paved all the way from 1A. Tons of parking in the driveway, and fantastic views from the living room out to the lake. The host was super communicative and even brought over a new trashcan and toaster (to replace the one that wasn’t working). Definitely takes pride in his house.

Great lake vacation
We enjoyed our stay at Phillips Lake. We went with our daughter and son-in-law and 2 grandchildren and we all enjoyed the waterfront property and spectacular view of the lake. The property was clean when we arrived with nice bedding and plenty of towels. And we really appreciated the AC. Steve was very responsive throughout the process.

Beautiful location, house is great with amazing views of the lake. The owner was always quick to respond to messages and very accommodating. The home was stocked with linens, paper products, even k-cups. We enjoyed the kayaks as well! More than enough room for our family of five. We hope to return!

Overall we had a nice stay here and great memories exploring the little islands on the small skiff we brought with us. It could have been cleaner however especially in the kitchen (utensil drawer had food debris & sticky stuff in the kitchen towel drawer), and the upstairs bedroom with twin beds had a smell in the carpet I couldn’t get out even scrubbing a few spots that I thought may have had a dog accident or something. I ended up covering it up with carpet powder and leaving it on for a whole day. It needs updating in the kitchen area. The fridge is missing shelving and drawers so for our family of 5 it was a tight squeeze for food items for a weeks stay and there was no ice maker. It’s over 20 minutes to Walmart and restaurants so we stayed in a cooked a lot of meals there. The kitchen could also use more everyday cooking items such as bakeware, plastic cups for the kids, mixing bowls, measuring cups, food storage containers for left overs, there were no spices or Saran Wrap so bring your own. Most of the other homes we’ve rented in this price range which was over $400 per night after all of the taxes/fees included these simple things to make life easier. They aren’t things you want to tote around after driving 2000+ miles. This listing also says it’s not pet friendly however there’s definitely a dog living there in the off season. The first thing we did when we arrived was take the fur covered couch cover off and wash it due to the hair. Overall, we enjoyed it. I just wasn’t happy with all of the extra housework I had to do upon arrival for the price. Also the lockbox to the property gave us an issue getting the key out and the cleaning lady showed up and started circling the home around 10 am and our checkout wasn’t until 11 am. She finally pulled in around 10:30 am in the pouring down rain as we were trying to get our stuff packed up and was in the home before 11 moving my husbands remaining stuff around. Regardless of whether they had to turn it for that day it wasn’t ok!

Stunning Property/Gracious Host
I would rent this place again in a heartbeat. Steven was so wonderful and kind, quick response to our questions and his home was comfortable and cozy. This rental is on a beautiful lake and the host has thought of everything you’d need to make your stay feel like home from the use of the kayaks and lake front fire pit to the keurig machine stocked with pods in case you forgot them. Stunning views from multiple levels of the home, cozy wood stove to take the chill off and awesome acoustics in the front room if you play guitar and sing. Friendly safe neighborhood great for long walks along the lake.

Maine Vacation
This was a great stay for our group of four. We had ample space. We enjoyed kayaking and evenings by the fire place and the fire pit. Enjoyed long morning walks and the leaf peeping was amazing. The home was convenient to short day excursions to Baxter, Acadia, Ellsworth, Bangor and Easport. So much to see and a great place to relax. Thank you for sharing your home!

Fabulous lake house with great view of Phillips Lake
Even better than what we expected! The entire front of the house was a wall of windows overlooking a peaceful, starring lake. It was wonderful to walk on the very quiet street along the lake and see very few people or cars. Beautiful sunrises over the lake in the morning. The host was very helpful and available and gracious. We would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful spot on Lucerne
We had a lovely time staying at Steve’s lake house. There was plenty of room and lots of space for our children to play. Great beach front and lots of time spent in the kayaks. Steve was quick to answer all of our questions and was very accommodating. We had an overall great experience!

Beautiful & Unique Beach Area
My husband & I, along with 2 of our adult children and daily visits from grandchildren (6 & 10) found this to be next to perfect!
The house is beautiful and the beach is extremely unique with a little rock wall making it cozy, friendly, and private for all ages.
The outside fireplace was a huge hit. The days were hot and the lake was great for swimming, our boat/tubing, along with the use of the kayaks provided.
Beautiful area to go for walks or bicycling and the neighbors are all so friendly.
Our host, Stephen, was exceptional ... he was very responsive to any need we had!
Probably our only down-side would be that it would have been more convenient to have a gas grill rather than charcoal and the fact that with the heat/humidity being so high we had to run the air conditioning quite a bit, which allowed us to not make use of the entire house.

We spent a week at Steve's wonderful home on Phillips lake. The home had ample space for us to spread out and relax. The lake is absolutely beautiful and we really enjoyed the use of the kayaks. We wished we had brought our bikes to ride around the lake. We visited Acadia which was about an hour drive away and we enjoyed lobster rolls at the many nearby restaurants. I only have a few suggestions. ( a lobster pot, dish drainer and a notebook with visitor information about the area to include, hiking, restaurants, attractions, etc...) Not knowing the area, it is nice to have that information rather than having to do google searches. We had a lovely stay and would absolutely return. Thank you for your prompt responses to a few issues we had upon arrival.
