I was only about 2 km from the Siem Reap airport. A you lady greeted us at the gate as we arrived in a tuk-tuk right from the airport and guided us right to our room. We had nice Cambodian breakfast at 5:30 the next morning. The staff arranged for a tuk-tuk to give us a brief tour of the city then too us to the central market.
No negatives.

The room was lovely and clean, spacious and passable - no soap provided so make sure to BYO. A pretty garden setting.
When I booked with Booking.com, it said the Peace House was 3 minutes from the airport. We had a 10 hour layover, so chose to stay at this accomm. . HOWEVER, we discovered that a new airport has since been built, and subsequently we were actually 70 minutes from the airport (International). This cost us $35USD each way, we were literally staying at Angkor Wat, where there was NOTHING at all in the vicinity to buy water, dinner etc. We then had to catch a Grab into Siem Reap to buy dinner/return - yet another added cost, for which was meant to be a very cheap layover. The staff spoke ZERO English and their payment system was not able to be used by the staff. Our amazing Taxi Driver who did our return airport trip,(and spoke fairly good English) communicated with the staff, and showed them how to use the Eftpos machine. Very Bizarre situation for a property that is listed on Booking.com. TOTALLY need to change this listing!!!!
