Bel endroit mais manque d’entretien

L’emplacement et la tranquillité

Appartement en manque d’entretien… les photos ne correspondent pas au logement! La tv est mal accrochée au mur et est de travers, la salle de bains est à rénovée On s’attend à mieux

Zentral, ruhig und viel Platz

Die Wohnung ist geräumig und liegt zentral, die Altstadt ist fußläufig erreichbar.

Die Küche ist schlecht ausgestattet.

A quirky budget option most suitable for short stays.

The location was great and the beds were comfortable. There was plenty of hot water and toilet paper, hand soap and shower gel, washing up liquid was kindly provided. When we asked the owner for more clothes hangers and a clotheshorse for drying out towels, clothes and bathroom mats we were provided with them promptly. The outside space was nice to use although a bit of a hassle to get to with food and supplies. It was nicely decorated and had a good little kitchen.

The sofa bed was very uncomfortable to sit on. There were inadequate other chairs to sit on comfortably (just many high metal stools to use at the breakfast bar which weren't suitable for relaxing, reading, playing a game at the coffee table etc). There wasn't a sharp knife (and when we requested one the owner insisted one was provided) There was also no bread knife or spatula so cooking/preparing vegetables was a bit difficult. Only three forks provided of which one was broken. The shower was very small with no shower curtain which meant that each time we washed we had to deal with lots of water spilling on the bathroom floor. The showerhead wasn't fixed to the wall so it was not possible to take a proper shower. A shower curtain really is a must! . There were ashtrays located under our windows in the outdoor space so we had people's smoke come into our apartment. We moved the ashtrays and resolved it.

Disappointing

Location was close to the square/plaza as described and within easy walk of the citadel itself.

Appartment is not accurately described or photographed. It is less than half the size the advert claims (12.25 m2 versus 27 m2). The photo of appartment #7 (purple wall with monkey picture) shows a sofa bed and a lot more floor room than there is. Bed has been changed and you can no longer use two dining chairs and the side of the table next to the bed. False wall in bathroom that hides the plumbing means the estimate of 12.25 m2 is an overestimate and that value has not taken off the "unusable" area taken up by the sink, bench, bed, table, TV etc. Owner seems to have taken photos of all appartments they handle and put all the photos in every advert so it is misleading as to what you are actually paying for and getting. You are also NOT in control of the air-conditioning. The remote DOES NOT have any effect on fan strength or on temperature- yet upon arrival the fan WAS on full and the appartment pleasantly chilled (cleaners?). Upon investigation we found NO evidence that the actual air-conditioning unit attached to the outside of that appartment worked - there was no condensation underneath or on it and no noise from a motor. A different appartment whose air-conditioning unit is outside the door of #7 was running constantly with continual dripping of condensation and the usual noise. Having someone "off-site" being in control of the air-con raised concerns about what other remote activities someone was controlling or monitoring. With no control of the air-con we relied on opening the SINGLE window that (1) you have to be tall enough to actually open and (2) is described as having a courtyard view. It DOES - IF you count looking at smokers' feet as a view. They however, have a great view of any occupants. The single window did not allow cross-ventilation unless you also left the door open. Luckily the appartment door wouldn't open fully anyway so not being able to shut it at night wasn't as big a security risk as you'd expect.

Passable

I requested a double bed, but there was a sofa bed. The sofa bed was crazy. She was so noisy she couldn't sleep. The toilet seat was released. The outer door was hard to open. Nobody gave us peace. Room No. 7 is rented by the owner through booking.com - is the worst.

Good cheap stay right in the middle of the town.

Difficult to access. Not only no parking,but NO STOPPING in the narrow one way street. Access instructions were accurate,but very involved.

Brilliant location but wouldn’t stay again or recommend

Good location

Advertised a double bed + sofa bed - only had a sofa bed which we had to make up ourselves. Unsafe - front / rear entrances to the apartment building were permanently unlocked. We were in an out house type apartment to the rear of the main property - the door was really flimsy and didn’t seem safe considering the whole property was unlocked for anyone to walk through to our apartment Not a lot of space. Bad communication - tried calling numerous times and calls were left unanswered - never tried returning my calls so we were left to wander round with our luggage for hours. Completely unimpressed from start to finish
