Amazing location close to Grayson Highlands State Park with wild ponies and hiking/picnic. Very close to The New River for canoeing/kayaking, fishing and so many streams! Please note: We had to remove 2 large trees in front post hurricane Helene. New pics coming as soon as Spring is in full bloom.
Close to West Jefferson, NC - restaurants, art galleries, antiques, coffee, brewery, grocery stores, excellent outdoor clothing store, Southern Scoop Ice cream and a cheese factory w nice store!
A very clean home.
No cigarette smoking, no outdoor fires, leave house reasonably clean - no muddy shoes in house, and run dishwasher on departure.

We were in the process of closing on a home in the area and needed to extend our stay. Once again, Anita was great to work with. We enjoyed our extended stay.

The home is an older farm home that is super clean and has a nice layout. There is a lot of land available for dogs and/or other pets. Anita was great to work with and very helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

My wife, our adult son, and I enjoyed our stay at Anita's house in Mouth of Wilson, Virginia. The house is a beautifully maintained farm house, with comfortable furniture and beds. The house was spotless. The rooms are very large and allow for good conversation, or relaxing with a book. Anita also provides a stack of books you can read.
The large TV in the living room has Direct TV, so you have many options to watch shows and movies.
The full bathroom appears to be recently remodeled and is very well appointed. The shower is beautiful.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking meals. (Note, there is not a working oven, however the owner has provided a Cuisinart toaster oven that worked perfectly for heating up a few meals.)
As described in the listing, there is no internet service available in the neighborhood. We also had a difficult time getting a connection to our cell phone service (we have Verizon). So, if you are looking for an opportunity to "get off the grid" and truly relax without the distractions of your cell phone and laptop, this is a great location.
We drove into Jefferson, North Carolina to purchase groceries --- above 16 miles away. There is a nice roadside restaurant, Corner Market and Cafe in Volney, where we had lunch, about nine miles away. The food and the service were excellent.
