Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Really good bathroom with walk in shower and large bath. Plenty of information to help with your stay
Gargrave has shops, pubs and restaurants. Well placed to explore this lovely part of the world.
Some simple maintenance could improve this property even more. Replace chipped crockery and improve the back door lock.

We liked the styling of the cottage. It’s located in Gargrave which has a choice of country pubs, a lovely Indian restaurant and tea room. There’s a really lovely walk along the river and easy access to the Yorkshire dales
The cottage is apparently for sale and possibly why the cleaning and general maintenance is lacking.
Damp musty smell when e trying the cottage
Damp patches on the ceilings in the living room and bedrooms, with a patch of black mould on the ceiling in the double bedroom, not pleasant to sleep in (assume that is why dehumidifiers were being used in both bedrooms)
Living room rug dirty/ grubby
All skirting boards thick with dust and dirty particularly behind radiators
No mattress protector on double bed
Heavily stained mattress on double bed ( only saw this as there was a note in the bedroom asking for bedding to be removed and placed in the bathroom with used towels at the end of the stay, supposedly for guest safety)
Poor quality bedding (not the actual bed linen)- lumpy pillows and lots of rips in double duvet exposing filling
Good crumbs inside the microwave and finger prints all over the outside door
Lots of food crumbs along fridge/freezer door seals
Grubby kitchen under sink cupboard
Rusty kitchen sink drain
Back yard in need of washing down and painting
Cottage in need of some general maintenance and good housekeeping
