This was a very unique place not your normal hotel. We loved it along with the little town.

Unique boutique style hotel in a historic building with vintage furniture
There was a bar up from the hotel where we had a couple of drinks with the friendly locals

Beautiful inside! Felt very fancy and I enjoyed looking at the architecture. Rooms felt cozy and well appointed. Very clean!

Very unusual (historic/restored) place and furnishings. With only one other room occupied and no night manager on duty, I felt I had the run of the place, could check it all out including all the other guest rooms. Lots of places to linger: parlor, roof terrace, front porch, garden. a very nice breakfast was provided.
This historic hotel is called "Iron Horse" (as in train) and yes, it is next to railroad tracks AND RR crossing which is active day & NIGHT: expect 4 loud whistles and train noises as trains approach and pass by very close (you have been warned). Also, there are major inconveniences especially at their price: there are clawfoot bathtubs with no shower curtains or anything to hold the shower head (in every room they have), so if you like showers, this is not the place for you! I skipped my shower that night. And maybe because they expect that, they offer only a tiny soap chip, enough to wash you hands with but not enough for a bath/shower. No place in the BR to hang a towel. There are no TVs as it wouldn't fit the decor but if you like a TV (in your room) - this place is NOT for you. No fridge either (although you can use the fridge in the common room upstairs or downstairs in the kitchen). A/C was set very cold and blew cold air in my face lying in the bed. In this property the A/C cannot be individually controlled in your individual room and no extra blankets were provided, in other words: I was cold at night. I pointed out some of these shortcomings to the manager the next morning but I don't think my remarks were taken well.
