Great location but beware

The location was great and first impressions of the apartment were good BUT….. see what we didn’t like. I must say that despite the negative information, the staff at the sister hotel Alba were absolutely fantastic and agreed to move us to the hotel after a second apartment proved unacceptable. It was just a shame that things went wrong in the apartments.

Checked into hotel alba to collect apartment key at 4pm. We were escorted 800m down the village to the apartment (a key safe at the apartment for self entry would have been more convenient for everyone). After being shown the apartment, everything appeared ok but there was no hot water despite running the tap for about an hour. The kitchen area was very poor and tatty. After 3 hours we were moved to another apartment where we were able to shower. However, we later noticed (around 10:30pm) an infestation of bugs in the bed, carpet and wood panelling. We were then moved to the hotel around midnight and the rest of our stay was perfect. The staff were very apologetic and helpful. It’s just a shame that the apartments were not of the same standard as the hotel. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALLTHE STAFF AT HOTEL ALBA.

Very comfortable stay, good location.

Friendly check in, lovely host. Would stay here again. Great location.

Would have liked some essentials in the room e.g. dish soap, a coffee machine, maybe oil/ vinegar/ salt and possibly more dishes. Overall it was a great stay but those small touches would make it excellent.

We had a good experience, thank you.

It was cosy and clean.

The only problem was the lack of sound isolation. We could hear our neighbours and people in the hallway quite clearly.
