Nice place to stay just needs a bit of updating.

Liked the family room and dining room set up. Room spotless Friendly staff Food tasted lovely Parking on site good Lovely location

Several areas need updating- chairs in dining room had ripped upholstery, broken faded decking at back sun terrace- this is a lovely area to sit. Poor signage to dining room, bar area and doors to get to room outside main building. Room above number 25 needs something done to floor boards or noise cancelling underlay. Noise from people just walking across room horrendous and kept us awake.

You definitely need a car if you’re staying here but it’s clean and comfortable.

Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Receptionist wasn’t very welcoming or friendly. The shower didn’t drain well and there was no towel bigger than a hand towel.

Cotswold charm

Beautiful charming old building, comfortable spacious room and friendly welcoming staff. A really lovely village too.

Rather a lot of difficult stairs. We would request a ground floor room if we stayed again

Highly recommend this hotel set in great location to explore the Cotswolds.

Staff were excellent and very welcoming. The Breakfast and Evening meals were very well presented and enjoyable. The bar was very comfortable and a great choice of drinks.

We found the bed too hard, but that a personal choice.

Great hotel with a warm welcome.

The friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Car parking on site and situated in a good position, convenient for Moreton in Marsh. The room was great with a lovely four poster bed and a good size shower. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Thanks for looking after us.

Buen hotel si lo consigues a buen precio. Cambia mucho de un dia a otro

El hotel muy bonito. El lugar para cenar y desayunar muy bonito. La habitación grande. Estaba limpia la habitación. El desayuno bastante justo. No tenían leche caliente. Si quieres cafe con leche no vas a poder. El oueblo tranquilo para un paseo corto. Bastante silencioso

El precio bastante elevado y sin desayuno. Luego mirando el precio dos noches antes estaba a mitad de precio con desayuno. Sabiendo lo que pagamos nos podian al menos ofrecer el desayuno gratuito que eran 6 libras nada mas

We had an enjoyable stay, but will not be returning as we did not feel it was value for money.

Breakfast was not included and cost £6.50 for continental & £9.90 if you also wanted a full English. There was a queue for toast as the two toasters were very slow (luckily there weren't many people in the restaurant at the time). However, the staff were very helpful and friendly.

We had stayed here 15 years before, but under the new ownership the standard had definitely gone down. The furniture is old and nothing matched. There was no information in the bedrooms (we had to ask reception for the wi-fi code). and when we returned on the first day, our bed had not been made (apparently we had to put a sign on the door, but nobody had mentioned this to us). The taps in the bathroom had a lot of limescale which could be cleaned very easily.

Beautiful hotel

The hotel was beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and our room was fabulous. The food was exceptional. All freshly cooked and good value.

Visit just maybe don’t stay.

Lovely location, really wonderful staff, terrific Sri Lankan meal, bar is welcoming and lovely. Clean.

Bed not great, pillows worse, shower took ages to get hot and poor water pressure. No hand towel. Whole place is dated. Parking really hard to get into.

Great location, beautiful village with local cafe as an alternative breakfast option. Good value.

Hotel represents really good value for money. The rooms were basic but had everything you needed. Direct access to outside on the ground floor and rooms, as requested, were adjacent. Some noise from residents overhead due to very old property with creaking floor boards but was not intrusive. Very friendly staff and lovely pub on site with good food available.

Plumper pillows would be lovely. Bed was a little firm.

Lovely Cotswold Stay

Staff all friendly and helpful. Room 5 opposite reception great with own entrance for our dog. Lovely quiet, little village. Ate in bar and nice busy atmosphere. Excellent value for what we paid.

Car Park could be a bit tight for some.

Relaxing Cotswold stay with wonderful hosts

Lovely old building Lovely village and church Handy for central Cotswolds Staff extremely welcoming and helpful but not intrusive. Since the Sri Lankan operators have arrived the cuisine is excellent. The Steaks in particular were great quality beautifully cooked and presented.

Nothing to not like but still plenty to do to bring some tired areas up to the standards which the new operators and owners seem to aspire to. Plenty of evidence of this intention during our visit.

Very enjoyable stay in a value for money hotel.

Great value for money.Comfotable large room (upgraded). Breakfast served in a well appointed dining area. Full English was very good. Continental was also available. Would certainly return, and also recommend.

Light bulb was on its way out in the bathroom, which didn't bother us as there was good lighting from the mirror light. Informed hosts who thanked us and said that it would be replaced immediately.

Comfortable and nice location

It was icy so didn't realise how much of a hill up to the parking.

Very nice hotel, large clean rooms

Very large room, exceptionally clean. Breakfast was excellent. Arrived in time for Curry night,a popular event for the village! Very nice location in the middle of the village.

Great venue abd quaint village location

Lovely location loved the venue rooms comfortable There was a mix up with booking I'd booked twin room and it was full so gave us family room it was nice but not what we wanted, the staff was apologetic and gave us a meal on them, which was delicious.

Good value for money

Room was very comfortable and even though it looked out on to the road it was quiet.

Did not have breakfast as only served from 8am and I needed to be on the road at that time. A full length mirror would have been useful and I was not able to get the dressing table mirror to open.

Accommodation fine, but dated. Reception staff welcoming, bar staff not so.

Had everything we needed. Easy access. Clean. Toiletries in the bathroom. Tea/coffee/milk provided. Parking at hotel appreciated, as little available in the village. Breakfast ok, but little choice on continental, toast or cereal only.

Property fine. Went to bar on a Saturday night at 9.55pm and told service had stopped and we couldn’t have a drink. Disappointed that as residents and at that time on a Saturday night, couldn’t get a drink.

The property exceeded our expectations and we would love to return to stay a couple of nights

The hotel was in a fabulous location and the staff couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. We had dinner and the Sri Lankan meal was excellent. I am allergic to nuts and coconut and they cooked a special meal for me. The hotel was excellent value for money.

The only thing missing was a hairdryer in the room. I only found out once I had washed my hair and couldn't dry it.

breakfast was very good. The food at dinner was delicious, and the staff very helpful. They all worked very hard indeed. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom spotless.

there didn't appear to be a hair-dryer, which would have been useful.

A lovely very clean, quaint hotel with friendly staff.

It was a lovely quaint hotel, clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious.

Unfortunately, the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the sheets kept sliding off the mattress. Glasses in the room were very small and the remote control wasn’t working as well as it should.

A pleasant and comfortable stay in a pretty village.

A friendly welcome to a village pub with rooms. I had a small room in an annexe which was comfortable and quiet. I enjoyed the Sri Lankan meal which was an option on the evening menu.

I wasn’t able to park in the hotel car park as it was impossible to manoeuvre through the narrow archway with a large van parked on-street opposite the entrance. However, I found a parking spot further down the street.

A friendly, hotel within a beautiful setting

This hotel is in an excellent location for visiting the many villages of the Cotswolds. It is a very quiet location with beautiful surroundings Had dinner one night and both the service and food were excellent. Breakfast came quickly and was ample. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely return.

No decaffeinated tea/ coffee in the rooms and what was there was not replenished without asking but they were quick to do so. We had a four poster bed which was comfortable but one of the posts blocked out part of the tv screen.
