Charming property with gorgeous views.
This is definitely not a luxury property - maybe mid-range. There is no reception and you need to send a WhatsApp if you need to speak to the staff. The room lacked some amenities, such as a bedside table and reading lamp on both sides of the bed and there was no fridge. The décor was an odd mixture of antique-style furniture and a rather worn modern sofa with the sides missing, and plastic plants in the lounge. The gardens seemed neglected and the lawn was artificial grass.
The food was a big disappointment as the menu was largely Italian or other non Spanish dishes (burrata, pasta, risotto etc). Some of the dishes served were not as described on the menu (eg mashed potato served instead of parmentier) and it was expensive for what it was.
We had no hot water in the shower during our stay. Despite reporting it in the morning and being told it had been fixed, it was still cold that evening. We were eventually told it could not be repaired so we had to go to a different room for a shower as it wasn’t worth moving our stuff. There was no apology when we left.
Overall, apart from the shower issue, the hotel was ok for the price paid as a mid-range rather than luxury accommodation.
