Welcome to Sol Searcher! This 2 BD/1.5 BA cottage can accommodate up to 6 guests and is fully equipped to give you a classic beach going experience on beautiful Folly Beach! With a view of the historic Morris Island lighthouse and of the marsh, the home is situated directly across the street from the ocean. Guests will enjoy the open floor plan and multiple areas for relaxing/entertaining. In addition to the comfort of the indoor living and dining areas, there is an open-air front porch, a screened-in back porch well-appointed for dining, a smaller back porch set up for grilling, as well as a large rooftop deck with vast views of the marsh/river and the ocean. Also included at the property is a small dock furnished with crabbing nets which is perfect for the whole family to experience a Low Country tradition! Folly Beach, or as locals refer to it, The Edge of America, is a laid-back, golf-cart-friendly community with many great restaurants, a booming nightlife, plenty of shopping, water activities, and water tours. For more historic exploring, the famous Downtown Charleston is only a 25 - minute car ride, which offers endless fine dining, shopping, historical sites, and more. There is something for everyone here. We promise you will Folly in love with this beautiful island! Although not confirmed by the city, work is expected to start around early March until mid-August 2024 and will be focused one block at a time. While we expect this to be a net positive to everyone (more sand and larger beaches), there is a small chance that your closest beach access point may be impacted during your stay. The city hasn't provided any further information on more precise dates, scheduling, or sequencing. But you can stay informed with the latest by visiting the City of Folly Beaches website. Please note that our office does not have any more information than what is posted online, and we are not responsible for any beach disruptions caused by the re-nourishment during your stay. Notes You must be at least 25 Years old to rent this home. Contactless Check-In: This home offers a KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM, and we will provide the code before your arrival date. There is plenty of parking in the driveway. We do not provide beach equipment, but anything available at the property is yours to use. Check-in time: 4 pm. Check-out time: 10 am. The Folly Beach NOISE ORDINANCE is from 10 pm to 8 am. Pets considered. All pets must be approved by our office before you arrive. Upon approval there is a $150 (plus tax) per pet nonrefundable pet fee that is due before you arrive. If not already on your reservation, it will be added. Once this is done and the fee paid, you will be all set to bring your pet with you (2 pet max, no more than 60 lbs. each, no puppies under 1 year old, no cats). Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are subject to approval and fees prior to arrival. No smoking is allowed in or outside of the house. House parties, weddings, functions, events, bands, DJs, etc., are prohibited. The occupancy can be at most 6 people at any time during your stay. We require 50% payment at the time of booking. The remaining 50% of your balance will be due 30 days before the check-in date, and we will run the card on file. Bookings within 30 days of your arrival date require full payment at the time of booking. 12 miles to Downtown Charleston. 22 miles to Charleston Airport. If the noise level exceeds the legal limit for FB, you will receive a friendly reminder text message to turn the noise down. This will help avoid any violations with the FB police that can result in fines and revoke the homeowner's business license. Suppose the occupancy is misrepresented or a disturbance is reported at the property. In that case, we reserve the right to terminate your rental agreement and will require that you vacate the property immediately without a refund. However, we are committed to your and our community's comfort, so please let us know if we can do anything during your stay to make it more enjoyable. We needed a brief break from our day-to-day grind. Folly beach is just close enough (and just far away enough) for us to get just that. The house is great. Very comfortable and in a superb location. Hope to stay here again.

This was a small but nicely appointed house, clean and functional. 1 bathroom is always a challenge, though there is a half bath in the laundry room. Plenty of outdoor spaces and a beautiful view of the marsh and sunsets. Our dog also had plenty of yard to play ball.

We had a great time at this property. The house had everything we needed. It was on the small side but the view and all the outdoor spaces make up for it. We loved the screen porch and the proximity to the beach. Above all we loved the amazing view of the marsh, it was captivating. The only thing i would mention is that the half bathroom is located off the screen porch, good if you like a lot of privacy. Also the pier needs some repairs to be safely used at our visit in October 2023. I don’t say this often but I would love to stay here again. It was a special house and we are already planning our next visit.

Quaint house, out back was pretty and close to beach. House had everything we needed but could use a can opener and giving us more than 1 dishwasher pod would have been nice. Frig needs to be leveled! But overall, we really enjoyed our stay! Thanks!

My husband and I have been visiting Folly for years and this house was one of our favorites. The location was perfect, on the bay and across from the beach. The house was cleanly and plenty of towels were provided (which is always nice). We liked the back screened porch and used the hose outside to rinse, as the outdoor shower could use some tlc. We took our two dogs and it was a blast. We like to cook and the kitchen was equipped with cookware and some basic spices. It was nice having a dishwasher as well. There was a kayak outside under the deck that my husband washed out and took during high tide in the bay. Highly recommend, he got some beautiful pictures. The dock feels like it may fall apart, so be careful of loose and missing planks, especially if bringing children. In total, we loved it and the space worked for us and our two dogs. The communication was great and very helpful along the way, before and after checking in, as well as when leaving. We're already thinking about reserving for next year. We may have finally found our favorite Folly place to stay. Highly recommend.

Great location and wonderful views. The house is small but ok for 4 people. The half bath is in the laundry room off the screened in porch which is a bit inconvenient. Plenty of utensils, plates, and pots & pans. Beds were comfortable. The house and porch could use a good cleaning. Overall a good place to stay.
