Nestled in James Island, this lovely house for $318 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Casa De La Luz Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' Perfect for the whole family to enjoy, this beautifully renovated home sits right past the Washout boasting wonderful views and all of the comforts needed for a memorable stay. If a beach day is on the agenda, the beach access path is right across the street on the front of the home and you actually have views of the Ravenel Bridge and the Morris Island Lighthouse from the back! Relaxing won't be hard with two spacious screened-in porches both offering stunning views of the sunset and the lovely Lowcountry Marsh below. There is a place underneath the home to store kayaks and you can launch them right from the private dock off the home. If you want to grab a bit of fresh air, the gas grill and firepit await for cookouts and reminiscing under the stars. There is also a washer/dryer underneath the home and an extra full refrigerator for stocking up on groceries. Don't worry about sandy toes either because there is also an outdoor shower. What's nearby: Perched just 100 feet from sugar-white sand, this will be the perfect home base for endless fun. When you want to explore the area, be sure to make your way one mile up the coast to Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve boasting wonderful panoramic views. When you need to head into town, Folly Beach proper is three miles away boasting plenty of tasty local eateries, the pier, and shopping galore! Things to know: High-speed WiFi * Please note that there is an active security camera at the front of this home This property is managed by Vacasa South Carolina LLC. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. Security camera details: Camera at front of home Dock details: There is a very small dock on the back which you launch a kayak from but not keep a motor boat Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. We really enjoyed our stay. The views of the marsh are incredible and it’s just a short walk over to the beach. We definitely want to stay here again!

This place was neat and quiet and had a very nice view of the marsh. The kitchen is very functional (no carrot peeler, though) and the spaces to relax with friends are very pleasant with nice screened porches. We found the beds comfortable. I found three windows unlocked when we arrived, so you might want to check. Overall, this is a great place to stay.

I really enjoyed the location, couldn’t ask for anything better. Just a couple things my bedroom needed small bedside tables. The closest was full of stuff and there wasn’t anyplace to put my clothes. Only the bunk room had a dresser. Even though there was some inconvenience I really enjoyed the place. I’m looking forward to coming back again.

It had everything we needed. Nice appliances -- we do a fair amt. of our own cooking and it had everything we needed, which doesn't always happen!

House was just as advertised... a very short walk to the public beach access, clean house, comfortable beds and a bit more secluded from traffic at the northern end of the island. The marsh views from the back of the house stole the show, including gorgeous sunsets! The only thing we would have changed is the kitchen supplies. It was missing a can opener and a glass baking dish, but we made due. Would definitely rent again!

The house has potential to be really good. Location and back views are great. But our experience fell short of expectations. Little things add up, thick mold in one of the showers, kitchen pans old,scratched/burnt, screens on porches ripped from bottom so they just blow in the breeze, outside railing/decks have mold/dirt all over, downstairs laundry/storage room dirty. The house needs some basic cleaning and attention. We did advise Vacasa and sent photos.

What a wonderful property. Great location- easy access to the beach. Wonderful amenities. House served us well. Perfect for a family vacation. Owner and property manager were amazing. They were very responsive and addressed all of our needs. They know hospitality.

My family had such a special time here. We stocked up on groceries and lived on the porches and the beach. The outdoor shower was super handy! The sunsets were stellar! We are locals and just love to live at the beach for a few days. Wonderful!

The home and surroundings were exactly as described online. We had the most amazing time. The vibe in the area is amazing and we loved it. Only thing I'd suggest is that you guys provide some liquid hand soap in the bathrooms, better quality toilet paper, stuff like that. Other than that, absolutely no complaints whatsoever. We definitely plan on returning and Casa De La Luz is the very first place we will be trying to reserve. Thank you SO much for opening your home to us.

Location is great. Close to public beach access as well as walking distance to lighthouse path.
We arrived and the living room furniture had stains all over it. Followed by going to the master to see what looked like a Cheeto hand print on the door and the comforter had it on it as well. This prompted us to check other beds—- every single comforter was stained and absolutely dirty. We reached out immediately to be told there was nothing they could to until the next morning. They did inform us there was a washer under the home and we were welcome to wash them ourselves. So kind, right? Spend my vacation washing linens and comforters— striping and remaking beds. So the chef that I hired only cooked for 2 because I didn’t have the rest of our family come down as there was nothing they could do. Then we waited all morning the next day for someone to come and finally reached out to them around noon to see where the new bedding was… it would be there later in the day they said. We leave for lunch and come back to 2 trash bags by the front door. One with sheets and the other with comforters. So we strip and remake all 5 beds. This was not a great experience. For the money we paid we were HIGHLY disappointed. In return we were offered a $175 cleaning fee back. O joy.

The house was extremely clean, close to the beach with Great Views of the marsh at the back of the house. Unfortunately, there were maintenance issues that should have been checked prior to our stay, primarily with the kitchen appliances, electrical outlet in living room and tv remotes.

The home is exactly as it looks in the pictures, fantastic! The location is perfect, as it's far enough away from the downtown, you get a quieter area and beach access. The walk from the house to the beach is 2 minutes with easy trips back and forth, if you need something from it. The kitchen had newer appliances and stocked with everything you need to cook. Enclosed porches on the front and back of the house give you bug free enjoyment during all times of the day. I never thought about parking when looking for a property, but after seeing what many people had to deal with, this home has a large parking area for several cars; easy in and out. Everything was clean and ready for us when we arrived. The host was outstanding! Any questions we had received a very quick response. We will stay at this property again when we return.

We absolutely loved the location of this adorable home. This home is away from the hustle bustle of the down town area of Folly Beach. You are about 1/4 mile from the nature preserve and the light house....a wonderful evening stroll. If you use the beach access towards the preserve (around marker 1690) the beach is wider and nicer in my opinion. (Otherwise at high tide, in spots, the ocean front homes are right at the waters edge and you feel as if you are sitting in their back yard.)
The home has 2 wonderful screened in porches....one in the front and a large one in the back overlooking the marsh. We spent every evening watching the gorgeous sunset over the marsh either from the porch or down on the little dock. Morning coffee and breakfast on the back porch was a special treat, too. It’s so relaxing to watch the changes in the marsh at different times of the day. The accommodations were nice and comfortable. We didn’t cook much, but the kitchen appeared well stocked. We had a wonderful stay at Casa De La Luz.
NOTE: The only disappointment we experienced was the renovation going on next door. The construction crew was considerate and did not start sawing and hammering until 8:30-8:45 am and usually wrapped up around 3:30-4:00 pm. We were out and about during the day so the noise wasn’t too bothersome. Lastly, we rated the home a 4 because some of the furniture (large sofa & arm chair) were a bit soiled especially on the arms (probably from folks sitting in furniture with sunscreen, etc) and the home could use some exterior window washing and pressure washing and sweeping of the concrete pad under the home. Overall, the inside of the home was clean. I would have rated this rental a 4.5 if that had been an option. I personally save my 5 star reviews for homes that go the extra mile inside and out. I would book this home again. 😊

Excellent check in procedures. We were alerted that the Property was ready for early check in. Great location in Folly with across the street beach access and within walking distance to the Morris lighthouse. Area was quiet and not congested. Clean and homey. We loved the two screened in porches and oversized swing! Would stay there again.

We absolutely loved staying at Casa De La Luz! The house was clean and so cozy, we didn’t want to leave. The outside shower was absolutely the best for washing the three kids after being at the beach. We loved having the beach access so close to the home. It seriously couldn’t have been any better! I loved that there were so many options for relaxing. Relaxing on the porch swing and sitting on the dock were my two favorite things about this home. We will for sure be coming back. The owners were great at communicating with us and we had everything we needed! I love the close proximity to many great restaurants in Folly and just a quick drive to Charleston! The house felt brand-new! Immaculate condition! The bedrooms were very comfortable. The kitchen was so clean and updated. It offered all the essentials plus more. What a treat to have front and back screened in porches! Everything was perfect! The walk to the beach was literally across the street. This property offers everything you would want for a beach vacation! I highly recommend this property! We had a wonderful visit!
