The closest supermarket (Harris Teeter) is only a five minute drive away, a Wal-Mart Supercenter is an eight minute drive, and there are numerous restaurants or take out eateries nearby as well. Getting around: It is best to have your own vehicle to explore as public transportation is not convenient in the area. If you plan to leave your vehicle parked, Uber/Lyft are widely available throughout Charleston. Guest access: Guests have access to the entire home with the exception of the garage which is used for owner's storage. These include palmetto bugs, sand gnats, mosquitoes, ants, etc. Those who live in the Lowcountry just accept this as part of living here but it may be unsettling for those from other areas. The home is treated regularly for pest control but this will not entirely eliminate insects from getting inside at times. Please do your best to not keep doors and windows open and not leave food or drinks out in the home as this will attract insects.
