With lovely countryside views just outside the Snowdonia National Park sits this charming detached cottage, offering spacious accommodation ideal for a family.. All on the Ground Floor:

Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed
Bedroom 2: (2 Steps), Zip And Link 2 x Single (2ft 6in) Beds
Shower Room: (1 Step), Cubicle Shower, Toilet
Separate Toilet.. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for wood burner included. Garage with washing machine. . Large lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 4 cars. No smoking.. In glorious countryside on the fringes of the Snowdonia National Park, this recently renovated, bright, single-storey, traditional Welsh detached cottage with traditional inglenook fireplace, sits peacefully at the end of a private drive surrounded by lawned gardens and open countryside views. Bryn Eithin makes an ideal base from which to explore this fantastic corner of north Wales, with not only the exciting outdoor activities of Snowdonia on your doorstep but the beautiful sandy beaches of Anglesey and the Llyn Peninsular are within easy reach.
This area is dotted with many visitor attractions including Caernarfon with its historic castle, golf courses, a fine selection of shops and restaurants, cycle hire and the starting point for the Welsh highland Railway for journeys to Porthmadog through the spectacular mountain scenery.
The cottage is also excellently located for walking and touring with fabulous walks right from your doorstep and there is golf and a variety of water sports and exhilarating zip wire experiences close by. Beach 5½ miles. Shop and pub 4½ miles.

The cottage itself was clean and comfortable, but I had chosen it online for ground floor facilities (as I had my elderly mother who uses a wheelie) with me. She can manage a small step (mentioned in their details) so I thought it would be OK. However, access to both toilets/ bathrooms have significant steps, and there was also a small and not clearly indicated step to the door from the living area into the sunroom. The handrails grips are fine for minor mobility issues, but a wheelie user or with very bad walking issues, it was a problem. The descriptor filters for Hoseasons and any other company need to have "On one level" as a category, not just "ground floor facilities", as that would have made our initial choosing more precise. Having said all that, it was a comfortable base, although better suited to families with children, rather than all adults. Those with mobility issues would find it taxing.

Lovely cottage which is very private and very cosy and comfortable. Well equipped and spotless. Really enjoyed our stay and felt very relaxed by the end of the week.

Lovely place to stay close to towns and snowdon. Plenty of walks nearby and loads in various locations we used All Trials app to find plenty. Bungalow is very peaceful and well equipped we didn’t want for anything else. Local town of porthmedog was very welcoming plenty of little shops and amazing bakery. All the big supermarkets are at most 20mins drive away. We purchased and cooked own food so cannot suggest pubs etc but there was a few about.
