About this house rental
Situated in Portland, this charming house for $173 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Colorful & relaxing: your stay is sure to be pleasant in this easy, convenient, and charming Roseway neighborhood home. The 101-year-old house has two queen bedrooms, and an upstairs lounge area with double futon and double bed. Beds are new, towels and sheets are high quality. The furnishings are fun, funky, and not fancy, but never compromise comfort! You'll enjoy a large kitchen with lots of countertops and storage space, a big fridge, and a 6-burner Viking cooktop. Within a 10-minute walk you'll find some great restaurants, but you might just want to stay in! Other to note: ~Touchpad entry - no key necessary. ~Street parking is readily available and ask host if you need driveway parking. ~ There's no enclosed yard - pets must be on leash when outside. Backyard is wide open and available for you to use - just know that it's not private. It's wide open to the driveway shared by the neighbors, and I'm also building a sweet mother-in-law cottage at the back/side of the property, so there may be a construction worker or two back there. The activity is unlikely to be disruptive and won't be in your vision (when you're indoors--totally possible to ignore if you prefer.) The front yard and front porch are all yours to enjoy privately, but don't hesitate to use the open and in-process backyard too! Also: words from this company... Need baby gear during your stay? We had a great stay in Portland visiting family. The location of the house was perfect for us as we have family in Portland and in Vancouver and it was only a 20-minute drive to either place. Our son flew in from Salt Lake and it was a 15-minute drive to the airport. The house and yard were beautiful and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house is located in a friendly neighborhood with many people out walking. The Safeway grocery store was nearby and within walking distance. Our host (Michelle) was the best and was very easy to communicate with. The only thing missing on this trip was getting to meet her. Next time for sure.

My husband and I stayed at the Colorful Roseway Bungalow for 4 nights and we absolutely loved it. The house was amazingly clean AND allowed us to stay with our two dogs, which is an impossible find. The host, Michelle, thought of everything. Everywhere I turned, there was a small convenience or thoughtful item:
- Hmm, I think I'd like to sit with my laptop on the couch this afternoon, I wonder if there's an outlet nearby. Yes, there is!
- I'm carrying a wet dog in my arms and I need to turn on the light in the bedroom, I wish I could turn it on with my foot. Oh, I can!
- Shoot, I forgot to bring my raw honey from home for my tea. Wait, there's some here in the fridge!
Michelle had live plants/flowers in almost every room (yes, even in December) and left us a bottle of wine, chocolate, popcorn, and a bottle of Topo Chico. The bed was super comfy and I piled it high with extra quilts that were provided. Michelle also, miraculously, didn't mind our two dogs who were unusually barky and annoying after being cooped up for almost the whole week prior because of the "atmospheric river" we were experiencing. When I texted her to see if she had a flashlight for a late night walk with the dogs, she brought one right up to us.
We love Portland (especially the food - don't forget to check out Pizzeria Otto right down the street) and we would love to stay at the Colorful Roseway Bungalow if Michelle will have us again. :)

Loved the location, Michelle was very helpful in directing us to nearby places to visit and great local restaurants. The house was spotless, had everything we needed, and was very quiet. When we return in the summer, we will be trying to rebook again.

We loved this rental. It was cozy, warm and charming. It has a unigue and charming style with many artsy additions to it. Michelle was a jewel of a host, helping us with any questions we had. We would love to stay in her home again.

My sister, cousin, and I had a ladies weekend at Roseway, and it was perfect. Michelle is a class act host that includes many thoughtful touches within the home. The house is in a convenient location near amenities and fun things to see and do, though we spent a good deal of time simply relaxing in the beautiful space that Michelle cultivated within the house.
We can't wait to return!

We had an amazing g time at this property. It was very clean, well appointed, comfortable beds, nice sheets and towels, comfortable sitting area, etc. Had no issues finding parking. Had no issues at all during our stay…just wished it was longer! Thank you for a wonderful property and stay!

We stayed as part of our visit for my daughters wedding. Every part of our stay was fantasic! Arrival was smooth, interaction with the owner was so easy, and even though there were unavoidable environmental factors, we were comfortable and happy. We would love to come back again!

Such a great house! It's near Sandy Blvd, but very quiet, and the house had everything we needed. Michelle is delightful and welcoming. Loved walking the neighborhood, and you can get to many great restaurants and other sites with a very short drive. Highly recommended.

Michelle was an exceptional host. She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. She had live bouquets of flowers throughout the house, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked to meet any need. During our stay, she checked in with us to see if things were Ok. Michelle is very personable and takes a personal interest in providing a pleasant stay. A bonus was the VRBO was very close to the airport which was nice since our flight arrived in the wee hours of the morning. The surrounding neighborhood is fun to walk around-there are no 2 houses alike. I give her a 5++++ rating.

My family and I really enjoyed staying at Michelle's home. It's very comfortable, stocked with anything that you may need, and decorated beautifully - both inside and out. It's also close to public transportation, groceries, and within walking distance of an off-leash dog park. Michelle is also very responsive and helpful!

My parents and I stayed in Michelle's lovely bungalow one week in June and enjoyed every minute! All of the essentials are covered and groceries are a quick walk across the street. Ask Michelle for endless ideas of activities and reviews of neighborhood restaurants. She is extremely responsive and generous! We woke up to fresh eggs from her chickens. She lent us her raincoat and umbrella because we left ours back east. The neighborhood is quiet and parking is a breeze. We have family in town and would stay here again in a heartbeat. It feels like home away from home. I'd give this experience 12 stars if I could. Enjoy!

My teenagers and husband and I stayed here while visiting family in the area. The house was clean and adorable, Michelle was a very communicative and responsive host. We really enjoyed our time at the house, we had plenty of space to play games together and to break off and have solo downtime. We were able to walk to restaurants, shops, and the grocery store. It was a great location.

I can’t say enough about this home! First, Michelle is amazing, attentive and kind. She was available to communicate with instantly and even brought us fresh eggs in the morning. We were welcomed with fresh cut flowers, and an assortment of snacks and wine. What a warm welcome! I’ve stayed in many vrbo’s in Portland the years and this stands out as the best. The home has some amazing modern art, the fridge has extra snacks, kitchen and bath are stocked with all your needs. One of the main complaints I have with many places is the lack of pillows, towels and blankets. There are plenty of all three, and I mean lots!! Thank you for such a wonderful stay Michelle, you really made us feel at home!

We've stayed in many VRBOs throughout the country, this is our favorite. Something special here-the way the house is laid out, decorated & overall feel (vibe). Greeting us on the way in was a basket with a bottle of wine, Perrier, fresh fruit, popcorn & chocolates. Michelle is a wonderful host. The location is perfect. We've stayed in many VRBOs throughout the country, this is our favorite. Something special here-the way the house is laid out, decorated & overall feel (vibe). Greeting us on the way in was a basket with a bottle of wine, Perrier, fresh fruit, popcorn & chocolates. Michelle is a wonderful host. The location is perfect. Perfect spot for a reunion of friends

It was Spring Break for my daughter and I wanted to find a place where I could relax, yet enjoy hanging out with her and my son. As it turned out, my daughter wanted to visit Portland, so I decided why not - it will be a nice escape from SoCal.
Selecting this Rose City cottage was a no brainer - the place looked cozy, warm, inviting. There are many homey touches.
We all fit well without feeling cramped - my family (3), my daughter's 2 roommates and our kitty. Yes, this is a pet friendly home. The place was very clean. There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor and an attic bedroom with a bed and futon. The girls and the kitty loved being up there. Although we didn't use them, there are many board games, puzzles and books that can to use to entertain even the most restless of kids.
The location is perfect. Parking is on the street which is well lit at night. There is a shopping center across the main road for groceries, a small movie theater, and other shops within walking distance. Michelle also provides a very detailed list of her favorite restaurants, coffee houses, etc all within a short hop.
We all had a great time. The Rose City Cottage served as the perfect base for our family getaway. To quote my daughter, "I loved it so much."
