Het was een mooi, schoon en goed onderhouden appartement. De badkamer was erg fijn en ook de bedden waren comfortabel.
We hadden alleen totaal niet begrepen dat er bij aankomst niemand aanwezig zou zijn. Gelukkig kwamen er toevallig andere gasten terug die ons konden uitleggen hoe we binnen konden komen. De e-mail met de toegangscode hadden we helaas even gemist. Na contact met de host kregen we de code ook via een berichtje toegestuurd en konden we uiteindelijk gemakkelijk naar binnen. Al met al hebben we een prettig verblijf gehad.
Ik vind wel dat de host op de hoogte zou moeten zijn wanneer de normale toegangsweg naar het appartement vanwege werkzaamheden is afgesloten. Dit zou vooraf aan de gasten gecommuniceerd kunnen worden, zodat je niet voor verrassingen komt te staan.
Daarnaast zou het handig zijn om bij de boeking duidelijk aan te geven dat je Nollenstraße (parkeerplaats) als bestemming in de GPS moet invoeren. Je komt dan meteen aan de juiste kant van de stad uit en bent direct in de buurt van het appartement. Dat zou de aankomst een stuk makkelijker maken.

A beautiful old building, with a nicely fitted flat, in the center of Gengenbach. Clean, with all the things you might need for a few days exploring the Black Forest. Gengenbach is a lovely town, with vineyards on the hillside and some great local walks. Some decent little cafés and restaurants, too.
Even though it was hot while we were there, it was generally ok in the flat despite not having aircon.
We met the host briefly and she seemed very friendly. Thank you.
In an ideal world it would have been good to have a little more space for a table at normal height, with 2 chairs, rather than stools.
Kitchen area fine for a quick bite, though.
