Location, deck with view of canal and music coming from Asbury park. Bed was comfortable, room cozy and welcoming.
The coffee station efficient.

I love the location and ease of getting in the Melrose.
I have been here several times, and have made suggestions about the need for bedside lamps. The only light is an blasting bright ceiling light.
My foot also found an old carpet staple still in the hardwood floor.

The coffee and snack offerings in the front lobby were good and the front porch was nice to see a partial view of the ocean and sun rise.
The room on the first floor, 1b was small and the shower extremely tiny.
The smoke alarm was missing from the case. Leaving a bathroom window
Open without a screen is never a good idea in a damp climate, the mosquitoes
Had free entry. If you are up in age, the front steps are a challenge.
