The location is just a five minutes taxi ride from the airport, making it a great option if you have an early flight or need a place to stay for a night or two upon arrival.
The room was clean and modern, with a nice bathroom and a comfortable queen-size bed. It included basic amenities such as a fridge, sink, dishes, cups, and a small table that was perfect for eating or playing cards. There were also two air conditioning units—one in the living area near the sofa bed and another in the main bedroom—which kept the space comfortable.
The host was great, meeting us in person and providing the access key. Overall, it was a great stay for our needs, as we were looking for a convenient overnight stop to ensure we made our early morning flight on time. A taxi ride to the airport was only 12 EUR, which was very reasonable for a group of four.
It’s also within walking distance of a few eateries and a small convenience store, making it easy to grab a quick bite or some snacks.
The listing states free parking, but it’s actually street parking rather than a designated spot. This would have been helpful to know in advance, especially when traveling with multiple suitcases. There is a place to briefly pull up and drop off luggage, but you may need to park a few blocks away and walk back.
The apartment is located off the main street and can be a bit difficult to find. We had to go to a nearby café to use Wi-Fi to contact the host and get access information. There are several cafés in the plaza, but you may need to make a purchase to use their Wi-Fi.
Due to its close proximity to the airport, there is noticeable noise from incoming and outgoing planes. This is to be expected when booking a place so close to the airport, but it may still be something to consider if you’re a light sleeper.
Although the listing advertises free Wi-Fi, we experienced restrictions—some websites and apps were blocked. We confirmed this by accessing them later at a café. This made it difficult to arrange a taxi from the apartment. The host suggested reconnecting to the router, but we didn’t try since we were only there one night. If staying longer, it may be worth troubleshooting.
The apartment had basic amenities, but only a butter knife was provided, which made food prep difficult. Also, the TV is mounted quite low, so be careful not to bump or scratch it when moving around.
The bathroom was clean and modern; however, there was no counter space to place toiletries or get ready at the vanity. Adding a small shelf or updating the vanity with some counter space would make a big difference.

Tiene todo lo necesario y han estado muy atentos en todo momento.
Está perfectamente ubicado al lado del aeropuerto y, obviamente, eso aumenta el ruido de los aviones. Pero merece la pena

Ήταν σε καλή σχετικά τοποθεσία, δίπλα σε στάση λεωφορείου και 10-12 λεπτά με τα πόδια από το αεροδρόμιο. Είχε ανεξάρτητη είσοδο και ήταν μπροστά σε πάρκο και ήσυχα μαγαζιά.
Το κατάλυμα που έμεινα δεν είχε καμία σχέση με τις φωτογραφίες. Το μπάνιο δεν ήταν ιδιαίτερα καθαρό. Η κουζίνα δεν είχε πολύ σκόνη και φαινόταν σαν να μην έχει καθαριστεί από τότε που τοποθετήθηκε. Στα ντουλάπια εξωτερικά, δεν είχε καθαριστεί μέχρι και την αρίθμηση που έβαλε ο άνθρωπος που την εγκατέστησε. Τα δωμάτια δεν είχαν θέρμανση και το σκέπασμα ελαφρύ, με αποτέλεσμα να κρυώσουμε. Κλιματισμό διέθετε μόνο στη σαλοκουζίνα, κάτι που δεν ξέρω κατά πόσο θα εξυπηρετούσε το καλοκαίρι, ειδικά με τις υψηλές θερμοκρασίες του Ηρακλείου.
