About this house rental
Nestled in Oak Island, this attractive house for $670 per night is a great choice for your next trip. “Shore is Beautiful" is a five (5) bedroom two (2) full bathroom house (plus a 3rd large outdoor shower) right on the oceanfront. Enjoy the unobstructed views! See the ocean from every room in the house. Hop off the large deck and put your toes in the sand. Perfect spot for your vacation! The house boasts an open and inviting living area with an electric fireplace, cable TV, and dvd player. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the supplies you need. There is a dishwasher and a full size washing machine and dryer. Five bedrooms total: the 3 bedrooms downstairs include upgraded luxury pillowtop mattresses and Serta memory foam cooling pillows. The primary bedroom has a queen and full bath. Bedroom 2 has a king bed with a reading nook and a smart TV. Bedroom 3 has 2 fulls and a smart TV. Bathroom 2 includes a full bathtub + shower combination. Upstairs boasts 2 bedrooms, one with 2 singles, and the other has a daybed with a pull out trundle and a sitting area with: TV, dvd player, games, and an XBOX. There is high speed Internet (WiFi) throughout the house as well. Enjoy time on the new front or side decks and listen to the waves crash. For those hot summer days, enjoy the cool sitting area under the house or hang up your eno or hammock. The large outdoor shower has hot and cold water. There are plenty of activities in the area if enjoying the beach isn't the only thing you want to do. The town of Oak Island has tennis, pickle-ball, and basketball courts. You can also play on the soccer or baseball field or take the little ones to the splash pad. If you like to fish, it's a great place to surf fish right out your back door, head 2 miles to the pier, or try your luck on the inter-coastal waterway. There are 30 golf courses within a 45 minute drive of the island. 15 minutes away is Southport which has been voted the "Happiest Coastal Town" in the US and has great shopping and restaurants. A cleaning fee will be added to your total when you book. You are responsible for your own linens. **** If you wish to have linens provided for you (sheets for all the beds, bath towel, hand towel, washcloth and kitchen towel) please let us know and we will add the $95 linen fee.**** Additionally: a starter of toilet paper, dish soap, laundry pods, dryer sheets, dish washer pods and paper towels are provided. Guests may need to bring more depending on the length of stay and frequency of use. Bath soap and shampoo are not provided. Shore is Beautiful was truly the perfect spot for our week long family vacation! Sunrises and sunsets were glorious!
The house had ample space for all 8 of us and the kitchen was well stocked.
There was a slight glitch when we arrived, but that was soon taken care of as was a toilet in need of repair on another day. The sliding glass door needs high-powered elbow grease to get it open and shut.
Over-all Shore is Beautiful was a good choice!

We had an amazing time together with family staying at Shore is Beautiful. Hopefully this will be a place to stay for years to come unless the family keeps growing. Do wish the house was a bit larger to accommodate another 1-2 bedroom but it worked for our crew

The views were amazing and the location was perfect. The house had everything we needed to cook. There was also plenty of beach gear to use. Beds were comfy and we enjoyed spending the evenings on the deck listening to the ocean.

This house is located right on the ocean with gorgeous views, open layout and everything you need for an awesome stay! The kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfy and it's located in the middle of the beach front strand. The hosts were very accomodating and communication was great! Would highly recommend - we really enjoyed our stay!

I visited Oak Island for the first time with a group of ladies and we had a great time at this newly renovated beachhouse. We had a great time taking sunrise walks and jumping waves in the beach all day. The beds were so comfortable I missed the sunrise but the susnset was beautiful and the skies were so clear you could stay on the deck and stargaze at night. We had everything we needed to have a great time and those that watch TV had all of the streaming options they liked. This location has great access to beach and close to the local grocery stores/restaurants. If you visit please be respectful of this property because it is now my sevond home and I will be back! Thanks for the relaxing fun time!

The location of the cottage was great with wonderful views of the ocean. The deck had recently been replaced. I was initially leery of having the beach access adjacent to the property, but had no issues what’s so ever. The cottage was bigger than it appeared on the outside. Having said that, I personally felt the bathroom attached to one of the bedrooms was very small. Not a big deal, just know ahead of time. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property.

My mother wanted to do something to celebrate my oldest child graduating high school and turning 18. So my child brought their best friend and I brought my sister and the 5 of us had a BLAST!
The location is perfection. The fact that there is a hose under the house, beach chairs and toys in the storage locker under the house and every room has a view of the ocean made it the best place to reconnect as a family and watch the waves.
The beds are comfortable, though the upstairs did get hot during the day. All in all, a great place with plenty of space and light. We will definitely come back.
The host was extremely responsive! The dishwasher broke while we were there and someone came over the next morning to wash the dishes while we were at the beach. They definitely go above and beyond for their guests.

My wife and I couldn't have found a nicer spot than this one. This property has a great cottage feel to it and has a fantastic location! We plan to be back again!
Our only recommendation is that the owners should invest in a nicer sheet set for their main bedroom king bed. We found the set a little worn out and too small for the mattress. That however, did not deter us from having a great time and we would highly recommend this property to others!

We will definitely be back. They house was so clean and everything we needed was at the house. The owners we had to communicate with were wonderful and any questions we had were answered very quickly. The sunrise and sunsets were beautiful. We were able to find so many shells that were still together and it made our trip even better. We will be back for sure.

This place's location is great. It has beach access on one side which makes the nearest house a good bit away. The home looks great, just like the pictures but with even more updates. The hosts were very responsive and the checking in and out were very easy. The kitchen has every appliance and cookware you could need!

Have to start with the view. That was the main thing for us on this quick trip. Right off the deck, over the dune and you are on the beach. The house had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. We had a great time and plan on coming back.

We enjoyed our stay!! I will say that this is a very small house for 10 people. Not enough seating at table. Main bathroom was shared by 8 people… just a bit tight. Having said that, we really loved the location and beach access was great. Thanks for sharing your beach property with us!!!

Location is awesome! House was fine. If you have 12 and need room and space inside to relax, this isn't a good fit. We had a 14 month old and 4 year old and it was difficult with naps and sleeping due to the limited space. No quiet areas. Property owners were very responsive. Bathrooms could be issue if you're not comfortable showering outside. 5-6 of us used o/s showers. I would rent again with smaller group.
