The host was lovely and made check in super simple. The area was perfect for us as we wanted to stay close to Alton Towers. The church next door was cute and having the graveyard behind us didn’t bother us one bit, I’ve seen a review where they were upset with the view of it but it’s an 11th century village and very quaint.
The cottage just needs a really good deep clean and it would be perfect. Saying that it was ok for us. The shower wasn’t very good but we managed with baths instead. For the price we paid we were very happy.

The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. It's a beautiful area and so peaceful.
We made good use of the spacious kitchen / dining area. Also, the lounge was extremely comfortable.
The bannister rail for the stairs doesn't come all the way to the bottom so the last 2 or 3 steps were difficult for my elderly mum to manage safely.
Also, there needs to be a hand rail in the bath / shower as it's awkward and potentially dangerous - even for someone without disabilities - to climb over the side of the bath to use the shower.
