Very disappointing. The whole place needs refurbishing and upgrading.
Unfortunately there was not much to like about this property. The beds were reasonably comfortable and we had parking on the street. Getting into the property was fine -after we called as we had not received any details by email. We were told there was a problem with the Booking.com site, so I am not entirely sure that the property was prepared for our arrival.
This property was just a step above camping. I am going to write to Booking.com about the standard of properties on the sight because this does not pas muster. The property was musty and smelled of stale smoke. It was not clean and didn't feel as if anyone had been in for a long time - as in not aired out. The lights in the kitchen and bathroom were both out. We called the following day to ask for them to be replaced and had a message saying there were extra's in the property and to check the breaker switches. We knew it wasn't that and there were no light bulbs. We were in and out and couldn't be bothered after that response and just made do with showers in the dark. The hot tap in the sink in the bathroom only turned on when it felt like, the sofa's in the living room were stained and dirty, the kitchen was adequate, but there were some cracked and chipped mugs and if there had been more of us - the property is supposed to accommodate up to 10, there wouldn't have been enough dishes or seating. Outside the backdoor, which had a dirty and stained curtain, there was a ashtray attached to the wall which was overflowing. There was a mop bucket under it which also had butts in it. Clearly the mop has not been used in a while! There were butts strewn around the grounds as well. Considering the property rules stated that all butts were to be removed, this was clearly not enforced and rather disgusting. A place to lay your head is about all I can say. We were visiting friends locally and so didn't spend anytime in the property except to sleep. Hard to recommend and feel slightly insulted that this property was offered in this condition when it wouldn't take much to get it up to scratch.
