Lisnafillan Lodge

We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage for the long weekend. There were five of us in total. Two parents and three kids (including two teens). The house is beautifully furnished and has every amenity you could need. Dishwasher, washing machine, full kitchen, garden with table chairs, etc. The kitchen was very well equipped and the owner had even left us some bits to get us started. There was also a stocked bookshelf and dvds. Beds were very comfortable and well laid out. Also great WiFi. The entire place was spotless! Communication from the owner was great and the whole process was easy from start to finish. Location was lovely. Very peaceful, but close enough to shops, etc if you needed them. You will need a car though! Highly recommended!

I loved that the property was a good one hour walk into town, as walking is my passion. I should add that I chose it based on location for this purpose and was very lucky with the weather. There is ample parking for guests that use their cars. I really liked the old style interior decoration and warm atmosphere of the guest house, particularly the breakfast room. Very clean.

Shower head was difficult to get mix of hot and cold right- a very common issue in most places, but since it was in a bath I just bathed instead. Which was nice for a change.

Very homely and great welcome. Breakfast really good.
