Make your memories at Sunsets & Sand Dollars! Located on the 3rd floor, The sunsets over the bay from the large back balcony are absolutely breathtaking! The back balcony has plenty of outdoor furniture to relax on. Gulf Views from the front balcony!
This is a 3 Bedroom/3 Bathroom Condo - Sleeps 10 . This condo is on the Bay-side of Pointe West right on the lazy river pool which is heated during the winter.

- Birders, relax on the large private balcony and watch Roseate Spoonbills, Egrets, and Herons in their wetlands natural habitat
- Fisherman, the bay is only 12-18 inches deep- you can wade right out close to the condo
- Couples, enjoy the privacy of your own rooms to retire to at night after a day of enjoying the community together
- Families, let the little ones play on the splash pads or float them along on the lazy river. There are weekend crafts and activities for the kiddos as well.
- Winter Texans, this can be your piece of paradise for an escape to tranquility and peace.

Pointe West Beach Club
Spend a wonderful day at the pool or beach at the luxurious Pointe West Beach Club. Pointe West offers numerous amenities including, an infinity pool, children’s pool, lazy river (will be heated in the Fall of 2021), fitness center, gift shop, and restaurant. The Resort is independently run and charges $25 per person, (3 years or older) beginning March 1, 2021, year-round. The use of the Beach Club is optional. The access fee is paid by credit card or cash directly to the Beach Club and is not included in rental rates.
The community is easily walkable. Golf Carts are a great way to get around as well. However, golf carts dune buggies or any other types are vehicles are not allowed on Galveston beaches, dunes, or wetlands; this is city law!

We stayed here during the first week of June. The condo is spacious and laid out well, especially to accommodate a family of 7. The views of the bay were amazing from the big porch/patio. TVs in all rooms and the kitchen was adequately stocked. We were especially pleased to see that the cupboard had all the essential spices, oil, charcoal etc. saved us there. Access to the beach club was pivotal in our decision to stay here and it did not disappoint. You can’t beat the price for a 3 bed/bath close to the beach in west Galveston! Two things of note:- the mosquitoes are real. Read the posts, bring multiple cans of OFF and bring a tube or two of after bite. You’ll need it and will be thankful you had it on hand. Serious post. - use Instacart to get fresh groceries delivered if you don’t bring your own. The closest store is 12 minutes away and is way overpriced for what they offer (not much). We learned the hard way up front but used Kroger delivery the rest of the way.

We had a lovely stay and the condo is gorgeous with a fabulous balcony and sunset view that we were super excited to take advantage of, but the mosquitoes were so bad that we could not go outside unless we were completely submerged in the pool.
The only downside of the review has nothing to do with the condo itself. It had all the amenities and was absolutely adorable.
They did warn us to bring bug spray, but these bugs are immune! The spray containing DEET worked a little bit, but we had to "run the gauntlet" from car to condo every time we left. Could not even take the elevator because we were trapped inside with so many bugs...which meant a lot of running up and down 3 flights of stairs.
I hate to leave less than 5 stars, because I know it is not the property itself that was the problem, but I want to make sure future guests are aware and prepared for it. We were sad to not be able to sit outside and enjoy the great balcony.
Oh, and I don't know much about the timing of tides/beach debris...but the beach itself was so covered in debris that we could not find a spot to even lay a blanket. For a private beach, I would have expected that stuff to be raked away.

My family and I have been going to Point West for over 10 years now. We have stayed in beachfront condos as well as the bayside. Unfortunately, this condo was not up to our standards. It was dirty…from the pots, pans, cutlery, showers, bedding. The blinds throughout the condo could were broken which made it tough to open them and see the bay or the beach. Our favorite part was the back patio. Please note that that there is not a glass top on the coffee table and it was not stable enough for drinks.
We did appreciate being able to check-in early and check-out late due to it being the off season.
