About this house rental
Situated in Avon, this attractive house for $390 per night is a great option for your next break. Wind Chimes #51-1 Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!' Let the huge, 3800-square-foot Wind Chimes ring your vacation bell. Recent additions add to comfort and entertainment, including new comforters for all beds, brand-new ceiling fans, and Roku TV sets that include streaming cable through Spectrum, upgraded high-speed internet equipped to handle multiple devices, and sleek kitchen appliances like a brand-new microwave (2024). The ground level has a basketball goal, carport, good concrete parking, easy ocean access (walk 1 minute to the beach!), and a pool with decking and a hot tub. The first level has good outside decking, a laundry area, and a well-furnished game room with wet bar, fridge, pool table, and three new arcade machines with multiple game options per machine. The second living level has an inviting den with a TV. This level also has three main bedroom suites with private bathrooms. The third-level great room with a fireplace, tall cathedral ceiling, and miles of wraparound glass is an American beauty. The all-equipped kitchen with oak cabinetry, breakfast bar, and a nearby dining area will provide memorable sunset dining experiences. Kitchen upgrades include a new kitchen refrigerator with an ice maker and a new glass-top stove (2023). Use the new propane grill to add charred favorites to the menu. Conversations will begin in the stylish and comfortable living/entertainment area and grow on the wide ocean sundeck. Wind Chimes never misses a vacation beat. Things to Know The private pool is open seasonally from April through mid-October. Dates are subject to change. The fireplace is available October through April. You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement. This property is managed by Vacasa North Carolina LLC. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 6 vehicles. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Easy walk to the beach and lots of space and room

It was a nice place but the main TV was broken, one of the dishwashers was broken, shower cutains were had mildew on them, linens on some beds were missing, windows were dirty. Just not very clean.

We stayed at Wind Chimes years ago when our kids were small, and had a reunion this past week. Family came from all over to join, and friends flew in from New Mexico. At first glance, it was exactly the same…great location to the beach and grocery store. Excellent spot for a relaxing vacation. However, several issues arose, and no amount of pleading for help would correct the situation. Right off the bat, the main entranceway lock would not work. Only one way in, through the pool entranceway. Very inconvenient for luggage and groceries. (We were told it would be fixed, but no one even came out to check.) Hot tub was green all week, so we couldn’t use it. Only one of the dishwashers worked. We didn’t know it until it cycled through so we had to unload dirty dishes and put them in the other dishwasher. The refrigerator drawers were broken, so groceries couldn’t be stored properly. Worst of all, we did laundry mid-week, not knowing that the dryer was broken. No heat in the dryer. Every towel we had was wet. We were assured that housekeeping would drop off towels the next morning, but it didn’t happen. And it didn’t happen the next day either. I even said I would come pick them up. The worst part is that the poor folks renting after us have not been told of these issues and will experience the same disappointment as we did. I asked multiple times for a contact that I could call and discuss these issues with, but my requests were ignored. The last notice I received said that the office would be reaching out to me “in a few moments.” That was 3 hours ago. We will never come back to this house, nor will we use Vacasa.

There were soooooooo many issues. Broken crisper drawers in the refrigerator. Broken blender. Broke toilet seats. Dead bugs on window sills. No power cord or remote for the tv in the master on the 3rd floor. One eating spoon for the entire kitchen. Kitchen poorly stocked. Dust covered air return vents. Deck lights didn’t work. Over the stove light didn’t work. Spacious home but needs major work and TLC.

Love the size of the house. House and pool are in need of updates, pool liner, refrigerator in kitchen, alot of obvious wear, lamps chipped, woodwork worn, couch very worn and pillows on couch smelled. Was not able to check in until after our check in time due to housekeeping not being done.

We have stayed in this home multiple times. We like the location to stores and the beach. The layout of the house is great. The dryer did not work for the week which we got creative hanging clothes up. I do miss being able to contact the local office directly for issues. We did have several maintenance guys coming out but for different reasons. One came to look at the dishwasher but not the dryer, that was for someone else who never showed. Staff I spoke with was very pleasant and we enjoyed our stay.

We were all coming from different areas and drove separately parking was tight but we made it work.

Even though it was 8 guys on a fishing trip, this place was awesome and perfect for our group. It would be awesome and perfect for a large family vacation as well. Plenty of room and other accommodations, a pool, hot tube, and game room. We will be back for sure.

First of all, the location of this property is great. You have easy access to the beach as well as being in close proximity to shops and restaurants. That being said, this property is poorly maintained and dirty. The pictures online do not provide an accurate depiction of this house. The pool table is covered in stains, some of which may or may not be bodily fluids and at least four out of the six pockets were torn. The pool area was littered with pool toys and the pool itself was peeling up on the bottom. The furniture in the living room was noticeably stained. The kitchen counters and table had food particles on them and needed to be cleaned when we arrived. One of the two dishwashers was rusted with broken pieces throughout. Along the deck there are numerous nails protruding from the stairs. Two of the deck access door locks were broken with one being secured with a random picture that was jammed in the door.
The sad part is that this property could be great with a little upkeep and consideration for cleanliness. When I expressed my concerns to the company that owns the property, I was given and generic response with an email to send info to. I did that and have yet to receive a response. For the above reasons, I can not recommend this property. I can provide pictures if needed.

We enjoyed the pool. It was great to have to keep the kids busy after the beach. What I was put off by was the poor condition of the bottom of the pool. You could see the heating system.
The kitchen was nice and well stocked but the stove has a burner that wasn't working. We called the office and they said someone would come that was day 1 of our stay and someone came day 6 so the day before we left. The stove was an inconvenience since we cooked in a lot and had a big family to cook for.
Also with how things are, I cleaned kitchen and rails on steps because they looked dirty and indeed they were.
I feel like the rails should have been clean.
Will all that said, I will definitely stay here again. Can't wait to come back!

Wind Chimes is a great home in a fabulous location. Pool and hot tub add to the enjoyment. But, the maintenance on this house is just non-existent. Problems with the home from our stay last year were never addressed and we faced the same problems this year. What is the maintenance department doing in the off-season?

This was our third time staying in this home. We love the location in Avon, close to the beach and layout of the house. Had a few issues in the home that were not addressed and it makes me leerily to rent again. Overall, it was a wonderful week and time well spent with our extended family.

We truly enjoyed this property for thanksgiving. They left pots and accessories to prepare our meal. This property had every amenity that you could need. We were very pleased. My family plans to stay here next year. Thank you for making our staff very comfortable!

Family stay July 7-14th 2019
This house had a great location to both town and beach. The only thing is that it needs some TLC. Pool was pretty worn in spots and made it look dirty. Should be painted also concrete separated from edge of pool. For this size house. Gill should be bigger. Either add a gas grill or another charcoal one.
