The room was excellent. The staff were very nice. Hotel was beautiful. I felt like I was the only guest in the hotel, which was good and bad. Easy walking distance to Amer, Amer Fort, and the shopping distrct.
I tried ordering 6 different items off the room service menu and none of them were available. There was no bar at all, so no alocohol (not that it was a big deal for me). I specified that I wanted a top floor room with a balcony and a view of the mountains (options were mountains or garden) and I was given a first floor garden room. They called and woke me up to ask if I wanted to order breakfast. They called after 2100 hours (9 pm) to ask if I wanted dinner. I was there for two nights and my room was never cleaned. I had to ask for fresh towels. I submitted laundry at 1700 hours (5 pm) and it had not arrived by 10 the next morning, when I was due to checkout. Hotel is pretty remote and you have to walk through a sketch area to get to the main shopping district. Roads are not well maintained, so difficult for autorickshaws.
