Feel good experience, beautiful location

What a beautiful place did the friendly owners create for their guests. Marvelous views, just outside of the cloud area, and still very much the feeling of nature. We saw lots of nice birds (actually more than in the National Park) and we were also lucky to have spotted a coyote. We received a very warm welcome by Xinia, who showed us proudly her nice garden with fruits and vegetables. Together with Gilbert we also experienced 'squeezing' some sugar canes and drinking the juice. The house is spatious, light and comfortable. We especially appreciated the level of completeness of the kitchen equipment. If you like to prepare some nice home meals, than this is the place to be as well. All in all very thankful to have had this genuine 'feel good' experience for the three nights that we stayed in Monteverde.

the view in the morning is amazing , the owner is very helpful , the kitchen is well equipped including fresh coffee

the road is a bit challenging. we had a 4x4 so we made it through but in the rainy season it can be challenging. the furnitures are bit old and need to be renewed. the beds/ mattress were not comfortable and need to be replaced

Amazing hospitality in Monte Verde.

We spent 3 wonderful nights at Campo Azul. Xinia the amazing owner showed us the differnet crops that they grow around the house and we tasted coffee fruits and sugar cane. We prepared our breakfasts and dinners and enjoyed the tranquility and the views to Nicoya Bay and the ocean.

We totally recommend this property. Very important to have a proper car to drive up the hill.

Campo Azul is a lovely and comfy house located on top of a hill. It has everything you need for your stay. It has a full kitchen. The hosts are very kind and helpful. Beds are comfortable.

It takes time to discover how the shower works, the water runs very slow and it takes time to heat. The house does not have any kind of heater so if the weather is a bit cool is not possible to heat the house. But there are some blankets to warm you up. Another thing to have in mind is that the house is far from Monteverde/Santa Elena center, and the roads are complicated.

Amazing place, very peaceful and surrounded by nature. Great view! Emanuel, the host, has been very kind and helpful. The place is not very central but worth to stay there! Private park, garden and full furnished kitchen. We cooked at home twice and nothing was missing.Absolutely recommended!

The water for having shower wasn’t very hot. The place is very windy and the temperature, especially in the evening, in not very warm.. so it would be nicer to have a hot shower. All the rest has been perfect!

Great view, the garden, quite and peaceful place. The owner was lovely, very welcoming and accommodating!

the road to downtown Monteverde was bumpy with a lot of holes so you will need a reliable car, especially in the dark.

Incredible experience

The best views in Monteverde, the place is calm, private and so comfortable inside. The beds are good and the level of attention and detail is great. The host is very welcoming and arranging. I would definitely go back! Overall, this place is excellent.

Charming countryside house with breathtaking views

We loved everything about our stay at Campo Azul! The house is spacious and absolutely charming, with lovely handmade wall decorations and a lot of personal touch. The grass field and the garden around the house are great for the kids to explore, and the views are simply breathtaking. The family owning the property are very welcoming and kind.

Hosts were lovely, place super clean and comfortable! The house is bigger than we expected. Everything we needed was there and great view in the morning! We even left with lemons from the garden :)

Exceptional

Emanuel is very friendly and helpful. He fulfilled all our wishes. He gave us good tips for interesting places in Costa Rica. He and his mother took us on a tour of their plantations around the house and we could taste various fruits, vegetables and herbs. He also showed us various wild animals that live around the house (such as toucans and monkeys). They don't offer breakfast but they did an exception for us and every morning prepared a variety of delicious breakfast.

Incredible stay. Emmanuel's mother gave us a tour of the garden and fresh produce for our salad. Very magical stay near the rainforest. I've never had kinder hosts.
