In charming Lakota Lakes Encampment, find this beautiful seven-bedroom retreat for a peaceful getaway away from routine life.
As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a fully stocked kitchen, complete with Wolf electric stove and oven, Subzero refrigerator, outdoor grill, and all the necessary appliances and utensils to whip up delicious meals. Full size washer and dryer complete the well equipped laundry and pantry room. Unwind by the fireplace or take advantage of the relaxing deck furniture for a hassle-free stay.
Wake up to serenity in the two ensuite master bedrooms in the main house, one with king bed and one with queen bed. Find a quiet place to catch up on email or make phone calls in the lounge area between the bedrooms. Don't forget you're in the woods where cellular and streaming services may be limited to DSL speeds.
The lookout tower boasts one queen ensuite bedroom and one full extra bathroom on the main floor. Four bedrooms up the winding staircase feature sleeping for seven in four bedrooms with twin-bed trundles. The top deck of the tower provides 360 degree views of the vast Black Hills, a great spot for sunset.
Venture out and explore nearby Custer State Park, just a 12-minute drive away, or marvel at the iconic Mount Rushmore National Memorial, through the large windows or on thedeck outside your doorstep. For an even closer look, head to Mount Rushmore itself, just an 18-minute drive on iconic Iron Mountain Road which features three tunnels and the famous 'Pig Tail' bridges. If hiking is your speed, are miles of trails to nearby historical mines and homesteads start at the front door. Feeling fishy? Drop a hook in Lakota Lake, less than 5 minute walk from the house.

Beautiful home in the woods. Very quiet and serene, very isolated. Lovely great room, large deck outside with a view of Mt Rushmore. We had an issue with the refrigerator but the host replied promptly and has tried to get this resolved. The scenery is just fantastic . We appreciated the fact that all our needs were anticipated as the nearest store was 20 minutes drive away. It works for a family get together

The house is in a beautiful setting, is spacious and perfect for a family reunion/vacation. The children loved the “tower” while the adults loved the gathering space in the great room with views of Mount Rushmore in the distance. The hosts were responsive and helpful. Our family had a great week in the Black Hills and our “home” that week made it all possible!

The location, surrounding community and the house itself was all that was marketed and more. Truly enjoyed our stay, the multiple porches, kitchen and family room space exceeded our expectations and provided plenty of room for all of us (8 adults). Would highly recommend!
