Nestled in Hermann, this attractive house for $139 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. One of four rooms available at the Artist Suites, The Van Gogh Room is carefully crafted to represent the unmatched talent of Vincent Van Gogh. You will not be disappointed with your stay at this creative property, which also hosts an art gallery and studio next door. All 4 rooms are located on the second floor, sharing a hallway in our beautiful brick building, constructed in the late 1800’s. Conveniently located in the heart of Hermann on Market street, which you are staying in an active fun part of our town within walking distance of wineries, micro breweries, shops, and multiple restaurants. We have a private patio for relaxing in the sun or under the stars. The room includes several amenities such as a fully stocked coffee bar, your own private bathroom, and a television. The television has no local channels, but it does have streaming capability. Coming soon an open aired deck. The back patio hosts seating for a morning coffee, afternoon beverage, or an evening of gazing at the stars. We have a gravel parking lot at the rear of the building, free parking for our guests. You are able to walk to most attractions in town.

I received confirmation of my reservation from VRBO, my credit card was charged, and I received a response from the host to an inquiry. However, when we arrived the check-in person had no record of our reservation in their system. Fortunately the room was not double-booked and we were able to check in. We arrived on bicycles and they provided indoor storage for our bikes. The room was clean, although we discovered a used wash rag hanging from the shower caddy. Biggest complaint was the bed was soft and squeaky. Trust me. The battery in the HVAC remote was low, and the battery in the clock was dead. There was a very informative three ring binder of information on the property and the local area. A good addition would be instructions for the HVAC remote, which was not intuitive. The stairs and hallway were a little loud but unavoidable in such an old, quaint building. The deck immediately outside our room would have been loud on a nice evening but was not a factor as it was a cold night. Overall, we would stay here again, but there are a few tweaks that could improve the experience.

We loved being so close to the town center and being able to walk to multiple different restaurants, wineries, and breweries. The host was very responsive and helped resolve our one very minor issue quickly. We would stay here again!

Prime location. Clean and cute little property. Love the character of the old building and what they’ve done to it. Right next door to the cellar bar. We really enjoyed our stay. May be our new favorite in hermann!
