About this house rental

Situated in Harpers Ferry, this lovely house for $245 per night is a great option for your next trip. Three-story Town-home in a private community. See website- paulschumacherhomes. Beautiful landscape (see pictures). We also have another place across the street if this one is not available. It's called, "Harpers Ferry Luxury, Spa Bathroom, Movie Room". The house is a pleasant walk 0.25 mile walk to Washington St, which goes to Harper's Ferry. The Bolivar end of Washington St (near the house) has the most and best restaurants. Your minutes walk from restaurants, bars (including a wine bar) and occasional live music. Sleep great on high-end Tempur-Pedic beds. A customized and very modern living space. “Like walking into a modern design magazine”, said one review. A short walk to the Potomac and lots of nearby hiking trails. Centrally located to 30 plus wineries and a dozen breweries (see maps) within 25 miles (10 wineries within 10 miles). Ride the train to/from DC to take in the sites! Very neat and clean. A great family environment setup or couples retreat. Although designed for a small family, it's a beautiful romantic getaway house with easy short drives to many nearby wineries or breweries in three States, Virginia (Loudon County Virginia is just across the bridge), Maryland and West Virginia. We've customized our outdoor deck for your relaxation and enjoyment. An open kitchen with floating shelves; a custom white oak buffet shelf adjoins next to a large wooden kitchen table for easy dining. Keurig K-cups for a nice cup of coffee in the morning. Hike down the other side of the hill down to the Potomac River, or enjoy dozens of other nearby hikes. The mid-point of the Appalachian Trail is nearby. Beautiful mountain views. Enjoy high end luxury Tempur-Pedic beds (King and Queen) with Bamboo sheets to keep cool. Ceiling fans. The professionally landscaped garden has been designed to have flowers and changing colors all year. Pet Fee (if applicable) - Pets: We may allow pets on conditions. 1) pay the pet fee 2) follow local leash laws (all pets outside of house must be on a leash). 3) bag and pick up pet waste and dispose of in toilets or outside trashcan (but only if in a bag). If you bring a pet, please tell us and say you have a pet on your reservation as our cleaners charge us a $75 fee to use "odor ban" on the entire house and do extra cleaning for any pet hair. If they determine there was a pet they will charge me, and I'll pass the fee along to our guest. We have sensitive non-pet owner guests with allergies so the extra cleaning has to be extra detailed. Hence the fee. 100% of it goes to the cleaning crew. None to me. Property fee (i.e. no questions asked insurance up to $1,000) - $39 - We don't collect a deposit nor do we make you purchase an insurance policy from VRBO. We use a service that charges $39 per stay with a no questions asked coverage up to $1,000. Our insurance policy may cover items exceeding $1,000 and we use Proper Insurance, the best in the business.

Perfect spot for a holiday getaway! The townhome is beautifully decorated and conveniently located to Harper's Ferry downtown. Very friendly and welcoming neighbors as well! Kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking essentials. And the landscaping surrounding the property is quite beautiful even in winter. Highly recommend if you're planning to visit the area for hiking/biking on the AT.

We really enjoyed our stay with our daughter over the Thanksgiving Holiday. We found the house to be as listed, clean, comfortable beds, everything you need for a great stay. The only comment we have is a preference and not a concern, Paul has done so much to make the house feel cozy, inviting and what you would want on a nice stay. We just prefer less stuff in the open, it feels a bit cluttered in thee kitchen area for us. But it is a perfect get away and would come back again.

My friend and I enjoyed staying here one weekend for a girls’ get-away. Our premier host had thought of and prepared for a wide range of guest needs. Whether it was a good coffee selection or board games, he had them on hand. Likewise, when my friend scraped her leg, there was a first aid kit there. Our host was super responsive to any question we had. Most importantly, the place was clean. We would definitely stay here again.

The townhouse is exactly as advertised. Beds were comfortable, WiFi worked well, and the neighborhood was very quiet. We did not receive check-in instructions from VRBO, so I had to contact the host, who sent me the information. One kind of weird thing is that guests are not allowed to control the thermostat. If you want to change the temperature, you have to contact the host. Definitely a bit of an inconvenience, so we just lived with the setting.

Would definitely stay here again!
The property was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the property is literally next door to Harpers Ferry which was our main destination. The host, Paul, was easy to contact and replied immediately. The beds were very comfortable and the outdoor deck is relaxing. We even saw a deer one evening while enjoying the deck.
