This cabin features a stunning great room with an open concept to the kitchen and dining areas, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and 4-person hot tub. The spacious family room has room to hang out, and the 2 decks provide stunning vistas of the beautiful Aspens and Spruces across Terry Valley. This cabin is also near snowmobile and ATV trails, but the best part - the cabin sits just 6/10ths of a mile to the lift lines at Terry Peak ski area. Tucked in the shadows of Wharf Gold Mine and just minutes from world famous Homestake Gold Mine, The Nugget on High Ridge is a great space for for your next getaway! Lots of room to relax with great views of the Terry Valley area. Well apportioned kitchen with stainless steel appliances. This cabin is located in an area that has access to a myriad of outdoor activities making it a true 4-seasons retreat. ~ PLEASE NOTE. This home has a window Air Conditioner. However, the temperatures and night routine drop in the 50's and low 60's at night, so we recommend opening the windows at night to bring in the cool air and seal up the house during the days it gets hot. There are several room fans to bring the cool air in or to help recirculate the air in the house. ~ This is the Black Hills of South Dakota, so be prepared to see wildlife outside. Make sure all doors or screens are kept shut to keep them outside. ~ We will not override our cancellation policy due to weather, particularly lack of snow for skiing & snowmobiling, or too much rain causing closure of ATV/UTV trails. We have tried everything in our power to control the weather, but apparently there is not an app for that yet.

We went with friends for a skiing trip to Terry Peak. Great house. We really enjoyed the property. Very close to the slopes. Hope to go again next year.

The property was just as advertised. It worked perfect for group! We were able to enjoy family style meals at the large dining table. It was a short 3 minute drive to the ski resort. We look forward to staying again next year.

Just what we wanted

Just what we wanted

We were looking for a good cabin to relax and use as a place to see the Black Hills and this cabin delivered exactly what we needed. The location was lovely, the hot tub perfect and we enjoyed seeing Devil's Tower, Badlands Wall Drug, Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Deadwood and Lead within 2 hrs drive. Mark was responsive to any questions we had and if we come back to the Black Hills, would most certainly stay here again.

We had a great stay at the Nugget on High Ridge. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Our only regret is not spending more time there! There is so much to do and see in the area that we spent most of our time off adventuring. For anyone looking for a comfortable and remote cabin experience in a beautiful area, look no further!

We really enjoyed our stay The Nugget. It was close to everything the Black Hills has to offer and was wonderful being on top of Terry Peak. Loved the décor of the cabin and had everything we need for our stay. I loved being able to sit on the west facing deck and listen to the breeze through the Quaking Aspen with the sunset and the views of the surrounding mountains. The owner was very easy to work with as well. If I would suggest one thing it would be that if your not going to have air conditioning to have more screens on the windows as only a few had them and in particular have a screen on the front door to give you a nice cross breeze with the back slider. This was only minor however and would I would most certainly recommend this cabin.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. It was clean and cozy. The kitchen was the perfect size for our party of seven, and the bar downstairs was the perfect spot to socialize in. The location was worked well for us and had beautiful scenery. It was just a short drive to see all of the attractions and sights that we wanted to see. We would definitely stay again!

We had a great time visiting this area. This property suited all of our needs for our families. The kitchen was fully stocked which allowed us to make different meals. We loved the look of the refrigerator. The property was clean and had a nice view off the back decks.

Very nice cabin, we had 8 people in our group and we were all very comfortable, beds were very nice, parking a little tough because of all the snow, no way to park a trailer. Great views, nice hot tub.
