About this house rental
Situated in Fort Payne, this attractive house for $111 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Ready to disconnect and relax? Grab a drink and hop in the hot tub, or build a fire in the firepit. Enjoy coffee and a book from the porch while watching the deer and other wildlife wander nearby. Very convenient location! Only minutes from downtown Fort Payne, Mentone, Desoto State Park and Little River Canyon. Very quiet cabin in the woods! This cabin shares 20 acres in the woods with a few of our others. Each are spaced out to keep it private and relaxing! It was built in late 2019 and finished in early 2020. It is completely self-sufficient, fully-furnished with all appliances. We now have Wi-Fi! So, if you *have* to work, or if you're needing to binge watch your favorite Netflix shows, you can now do so! Each of our cabins have a private hot tub located on the covered back deck, a fire pit, and a campsite style charcoal grill. All of the kitchens are fully equipped with all the basic appliances and utensils you should need to prepare your favorite meals if you're looking to stay in. We use Keurig pod coffee makers in each of our cabins, so grab your favorite blend! This cabin has a queen size bed. Things you should know! All sheets and linens are provided. We provide a starter roll of toilet paper and paper towels, as well as a dishwasher and washing machine tablet. We also provide a few K-cups to get you started. According to your length of stay, you may want to bring extra coffee, detergents and garbage bags. We do not provide any toiletries at this time. Phone service can be limited, however, we have signal boosters in each of our cabins. AT&T and Verizon seem to work fine, though we have been told that T-Mobile/Sprint users didn't have signal. Having wi-fi now may allow many modern phones to operate over it.

From the moment we booked our reservation, the host reached out to welcome us as well as provide recommendations. Quincy was highly responsive as well as thoughtful in checking on us after arrival.
The cabin is close to everything you could want/need as well as many things to do and yet feels very secluded and private.
The Cabin:
1. When we walked in the door, the cabin was spotless and smelled amazing!
2. I cannot say enough about the comfortability of the bed - I even inquired on pillows the host has - sleeping well is one of my musts on a vacation/weekend getaway and this exceeded my expectations!
3. And the hot tub was a definite perk after hiking all day; our sore muscles appreciated the long soaks with a glass of wine while watching the lightning bugs twinkle in the dark, wooded backdrop.
Thank you so much for sharing your quaint, cozy cabin with us, it was an amazing weekend and we will be back!!

5 year anniversary was perfect thanks to this amazing cabin. It was clean and my wife LOVED the hot tub. We are already looking at another stay here in the near future. Very secluded and even though it rained all week we still very much enjoyed every minute especially being able to see Desoto Falls, Little River and two waterfalls at Cloudland Canyon flowing very well.

My husband I really enjoyed celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary at the BirdHouse cabin! It was very clean and private! Comfortable bed, couch and wonderful kitchen area! The hot tub was great for unwinding in the evening! Owners communicated all necessary information before our arrival. Would love to return and highly recommend to all!

So we actually stayed in the Bear's Den cabin and not this one due to some type of issue with this particular cabin. The owner was great about communicating with me so it wasn't a problem and the cabins are pretty much identical from my understanding.
This cabin was the best one we have stayed at in this area. The cabin was really clean and very easy to find. The owner had signs up from the road, we didn't have to wonder if we were making the correct turn.
One of the best parts of this cabin was that unlike a lot of others in the area, it was one story except for 4 small steps going from the ground to the porch. We didn't have to worry about climbing stairs or a ladder to a loft and the bathroom was full sized. It was great having a regular sink and counter to put my makeup bag etc. on.
The cabin offered a lot of privacy, without feeling like we were isolated. We could see the other cabins, but we didn't see any other people while we were there. My husband did see 2 nice deer was he was getting ready to go out to the hot tub one evening.
Overall, I could really see us coming back to this cabin community and I will recommend it to friends who like the area as well.

The property was perfect for what we were looking for, that we had to call verbo to get the number of the code to get in the gate because no one had notified us two days prior as was in there paperwork. We were an hour away and it was dark and was afraid no one would call us back but we did get everything squared away. I need to add some gravel to the drive it was areas that was muddy and a bigger turnaround for big trucks. Yes we will yes we will be back great place to relax very comfortable bed, nice interior roommate.
