We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation was extremely comfortable, peaceful and had absolutely stunning views, waking up to the Ruapehu scenery was a real highlight. Jo was a lovely host, welcoming and easy to deal with. We’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.

Drying Room was useful
There was a strong unpleasant smell (like rotting cabbage) coming from ensuite bathroom. We had to keep the door closed and window open throughout our stay to minimise the smell coming into the bedroom and the rest of the house.
We didn’t use the ensuite but were able to use the other bathroom.
There was rotting food in one of the bins that hadn’t been emptied from previous guests that filled the kitchen with a terrible smell when we arrived.
Bad liquids had leaked into the bins which then required washing.
We had to do vacuuming to clean up dust and dead insects around the house on arrival.
