The gîte was beautiful, 200+ years old, full of exposed beams and antique furniture. But with 2 modern shower rooms and a fully equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds, private enclosed garden, we used the BBQ and ate in the garden half the time. 15 minute walk from the lake we were boat racing on, so perfect location.
Contrisson village has no restaurant. There is a bar cafe but it was closed all the time we were there. Luckily the next village has a good supermarket and we could buy all we needed there but it was home cooking (BBQ). As far as I could discover the nearest restaurant is 20-30 minutes drive away.
