About this house rental
Nestled in Lamoine, this lovely house for $406 per night is a great option for your next break. Adventure awaits! Fresh, clean and spacious vacation living. Enjoy the Maine Ocean and Woods, at the Cove Cottages Property. We are close to Acadia National Park, Bangor International Airport, Ellsworth, Winter Harbor, and Mount Desert Island. Our accommodations are perfect for 2-3 couples, small groups of adventurers and business travelers. We are excited to offer The Carriage House for the 2024 season! You'll see many of our outdoor adventures around the property, wildlife that we spot and be the first to get updates on what we are doing to make your upcoming stay more enjoyable! The Space. The house was designed with adventure seeking travelers in mind. On the first floor guests have access to two queen bedrooms and two full bathrooms. A new second floor bedroom with a king size bed is a welcome expansion to accommodate larger groups. Our oversized family room is a perfect space to relax, read, watch some television on a big screen, or play a board game with the family! The full kitchen, with many upgraded amenities, stone countertops, gas range, and dishwasher, gives you the perfect space to cook or visit some of our favorite restaurants less than 15 minutes away. A large well-lit deck gives you a tranquil spot to sip your morning coffee and hopefully catch a peek at some woodland visitors. Our washer and dryer are neatly tucked away in the entryway and are essential for washing up after your many outdoor adventures. Area Adventures. Are you a swimmer? Great! You'll find that the Lamoine Public Beach and State Park are only 4 miles away and offer expansive beach, for swimming, sea glass combing, or kayaking! More of a Lake swimmer? No problem, there are several ponds and lakes situated about 18 miles away to the Hulls Cove Visitor Entrance at Acadia National Park, or check out one of our local favorites, Donnell Pond, for a quiet sandy lake swim and convenient mountain hiking. Need a quick morning walk. The Frenchmen Bay Conservatory's Simon Trail is situated right across the road and offers a 1 mile loop with an abundance of ferns and mushrooms to view. Please Note: We have 1 camera installed exteriorly overlooking the entrance and driveway. This camera is for your safety & security. Your Privacy Is Respected.

What a lovely home. The owners did a fabulous job of providing everything you could need. We were in Acadia National Park during our 4 day stay and it worked out perfect. Would highly recommend.

We had a great time staying at the cottage during our trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The location is perfect for exploring the park and other sweet towns around the area. Everything you need to cook or grill for those evenings you just want to relax. Paige was extremely accommodating and a wonderful host.

We survived Hurricane Lee in this beautifully appointed cottage!! The generator kicked in automatically when the power went out and we continued our card game without a care in the world!! Very clean, comfortable and close to Ellsworth with lots of dining options!! Perfect for our 2 couple group!!

The house is very clean and in a great location to see all of Acadia. The upstairs is a wonderful open space- would be even better with a bathroom up there :) Communication with hosts was fast and easy. Great house for families to experience Acadia!

We were initially hesitant to book a VRBO that was off MDI for our vacation to Acadia NP in August. Boy, we were we wrong! This property has a PERFECT location, especially during the summer when tourists take over the park. You are close enough (30 minutes or less depending on traffic) to the park but far enough away to escape the madness that is Bar Harbor. Likewise, you are close to Ellsworth, which has great restaurants with no waits. And the property? Gorgeous. It is probably the first VRBO we ever stayed at that looks exactly like it does in the pictures. Clean, modern, perfect for families. I am a self-avowed VRBO snob and I absolutely loved this place. Yeah, a half bath upstairs would be nice but it's really a small quibble. Paige and Katie are super accessible and really have all your travel bases covered. Brava!

This cozy cottage was perfect for me and my family (2 adults + 4 children). We explored Acadia National Park for three days and had a blast. Finding parking in Bar Harbor is a challenge, so spending our nights in Lamoine provided us a quiet retreat where we could cook and relax.
If we come back to Maine I’d definitely try to book this house again. If they can add a half bath upstairs this house would be unbeatable.

The house was in a perfect location, remote and peaceful but not far from all major attractions. The house was very clean, and spacious. We enjoyed the fire pit as well as the large family room. Highly recommend and would certainly book this again in future trips to Maine.

Property was really clean and well equipped - and only about a 30 min drive to Bar Harbor. Host was very communicative and helpful. One of the nicest VRBO’s we’ve ever stayed in. Absolutely perfect

We had a wonderful stay at Paige's property. The home was immaculate and exactly as advertised. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and our kids loved playing in the spacious living area upstairs. This was a great spot to return to after a full day of adventuring around Acadia. Paige was also an excellent and responsive host. We would happily stay again!

Lovely, welcoming home in a relaxing setting. We enjoyed grilling out, eating on the deck & fixing s'mores at the firepit. Comfortable surrounding for our family of 6 - mom, dad & two adult sons & their wives. Host provided detailed information & instructions to ensure a smooth stay. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

We so enjoyed this lovely , seemingly very new, home as our home base for our visit to Acadia. Updated modern decor. Nice fresh comfortable beds. Loved the outside deck in the mornings and evenings, facing expansive trees. Minor downside js no bathroom convenient to upstairs bedroom- that bed room could use a mirror at minimum to allow for some getting ready (for women) without bathroom. Kitchen very well stocked . Excellent - highly recommend !!

It was our second time staying here and it was just as lovely as the first. Hosts are incredibly communicative, property is clean, lots of little restaurants around and close to Acadia. The cove is peaceful to sit and have some quiet time at. The fire pit outside is perfect to make s’mores and hang out at. We absolutely love this property and will always stay here on our trips to the area.

Our stay at was perfect and all we needed was at hand. Cute and comfortable as well as close to many things we wanted to do during our stay.
We had to switch a date out at last minute due to work shift change in my part and they accommodated us without any issues. Would def recommend this cozy mini chalet. My favorite part was coffee in the deck in the morning and wine at night! We even got to use the fire pit one night!

Modern, newer home on private lot, walking distance to water. Perfect for 2 couples or small family. Very clean, easy access. Lovely deck and fire pit area, perfect for star gazing. Some traffic noise but pretty quiet for sleeping. Nice open floor plan, very bright, clean modern finishes and baths. Kitchen has all modern amenities but a little tight if you like to cook. Very private, no other houses in sight. Owners very pleasant and responsive. Lovely hiking trail across the road. Easy drive to Ellsworth, quaint town offering shopping, restaurants and galleries. Easy access to Acadia national park - both Mount Desert Island (busy) and Schoodic peninsula (quiet). Lots of great hikes, sea kayaking, lobster pounds and touring galleries plus plenty of microbrewers! Our group had a great time. Thanks to the owners for a wonderful stay.

Great communication by the owners. The home and kitchenware were exceptionally clean with every utensil we needed for the week, even birthday candles! The back porch was great, especially at night to see the beautiful star-lit sky. The fire pit area added a special ambiance. The bay was an added surprise as this is the spot my son decided to propose to his girlfriend! What a great week!!

Great location.! A quiet, cozy retreat for relaxing after a day of hiking in Acadia National Park and touring Bar Harbor. We enjoyed walks to the cove and drinks by the fire. It was the perfect place for our fall getaway and first trip to Maine. The only thing we'd change is that we would have booked a longer trip.

A Great Weekend Away!
We loved our stay here and will most definitely be back! The house was so clean and the property was amazing. Convenient to stores/restaurants/Acadia but away from it all at the same time. Stargazing from the deck is not to be missed!
